Happy Holidays!

Written by Kelly Latevola. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello Crafters!

I know it’s a bit early for Christmas cards but I love the new WPlus9 Holiday Boughs set so much I couldn’t wait to use it 🙂

I decided to use the branches to stamp out a wreath. I used a circle die to lightly draw a circle on my watercolor paper as a guide.  Distress Ink Markers are perfect to scribble onto stamps.  I used Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint, and Forest Moss for my branches, and then spritzed them lightly with water in a Mini Mister after stamping.

Once that was done I used Brushed Corduroy and Ground Espresso to add some pinecones in. I heat set the whole peace before stamping the large sentiment in Versamark. I used a warm brown to heat set the sentiment before adding in a white highlight with my gel pen. Lastly I added a bit of shading inside my wreath using Copic Markers in W1 and W3.

The watercolor piece was mounted on some dark maroon cardstock to complete the card. I just love how rustic this feels! It’s a bit outside of my norm but I’m super happy with it 🙂

Thank you so much for joining me!

“Have a Mice Christmas” Featuring Mama Elephant

Written by Heidi. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Uncategorized

Hello everybody! Heidi here, welcome back to the Marker POP blog! Today I have some holiday inspiration featuring “Festive Mice” stamp and die set by Mama Elephant, I also used the “Snow capped mountains” Creative Cuts also by Mama Elephant! I’m absolutely in love with the latest Mama Elephant release, and you will see more Mama Elephant inspiration from me, in the days to come. Let me show you the card that I made, and I will be telling you more about it.

DSC_8135For the background I used a brick stencil from My Favorite Things and I randomly inked some spots using Fire Brick distress ink. I created the window using the My Favorite Things Blueprints No.20, and I used a snow stencil for the outside background with some embossing paste. For the sky background I used “Salty Ocean” and “Chipped Sapphire” distress inks. The cut the snow cape mountains from craft card stock and the snowy tips from white card stock.

DSC_8138I stamped and colored all the images using Copic Markers, some of them I die cut using the coordinated dies, and some others such as the lights I fussy cut. The two little presents are from the “Reindeer Games” stamp set also by Mama Elephant. I arranged and adhered all the elements using some foam adhesive and liquid glue, I used white gel pen to add some detail to the mouse’s pajamas and the tree, some Glossy Accents on the lights, and some Wink of Stella on the presents.

I hope you enjoyed this card and that you would check out the adorable new Mama Elephant release at the Marker POP store

Thanks so much for stopping by, I’ll see you soon with more projects and inspiration!

Written by Annette Allen. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Videos

Happy Day MarkerPop! Friends.
Annette Allen here with you today.
Today I am playing with:
Copic Sketch: E00, E000, R81, R85, E17, E15, E13, B26, B24, W5, W3, W1, G07, G05 and G03
Who’s getting ready to make those fun Christmas cards? I try and get a couple months ahead start that way I can just put a stamp on them and mail them off. I just love this Mama Elephant: Alpine Carolers because it is a family scene and I think that is just precious. So fun to color and it has some great sentiments. The background is watercolored just for more color and I cut up some Avery Elle: The Jewel Collection 6×6 paper pad and pieced it together for the base background.
MarkerPop! has a great selection of Mama Elephant so make sure and check it out HERE.
Until next time!
Have an awesome day.
Thanks for stopping by.

Celebrate with Petunia!!!

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Tutorials

Hi everyone welcome back to the makerPop blog.. It’s Holly here and today I have a super cute card for you using one of the latest from Stamping bella. How cute is this pig? She’s from the Woodies collection and it’s called Petunia LOVES Christmas.

I stamped her onto a piece of white card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored her in with Copics. Then I die cut the image using the MFT Stitched Circle Stax. I created a top folding A2 size card base and added a piece of Pattern paper from the Simple Stories DIY Christmas 6×6 pad.

Too cute!!! I decided to use the Altenew Label Love set for my sentiment and stamped it in VersaMark Black ink and trimmed it out. Then I added some Lilac Sprinkles from Doodlebug to bring in some more Purple. And it’s Christmas so it needs a touch of shimmer so I covered the bow with Clear Wink of Stella. Click the photo below to see the shimmer better.

And we have been celebrating our New Design Team all week long here at markerPop with giveaways and today I’m giving away the Label Love set from Altenew.
