Hi crafters!  I hope everyone had an amazing ghoulish Halloween, but now it’s almost time for my favorite time of the year – “Christmas”! So today I am sharing a stamp from Stamping Bella called “Jenny Feels Joyful“, and she has every reason to be joyful at Christmas, right?!

DIY Simply Monica

I am such a pack rat that I used some cellophane from a package I received for the inside of the gift bag!  After all my nickname is Scraps2treasure right?!!

How to make Gift Bag

I stamped her onto my sheet of  Xpress-IT paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink which comes in a full size pad, dew drop and even a pen so you have some choices.  Jenny is colored with Copic pens as well as some Chameleon Pens and these pens work beautifully together if I must say so myself!  I used some Ranger Stickles on her dress and shoes to give her outfit added flair!  Just love my stickles too…

Hello everybody Heidi here with a new Marker POP challenge! This time we are hosting a very exciting challenge, “Any Shape But A Rectangle” how fun is that? I have some inspiration for you using Mama Elephant stamps and dies.

I made this ornament-tags using the adorable “Reindeer games” stamp and die set by Mama Elephant, I used other elements that I’ll list below. Let me show you and I will tell you all about it!

DSC_8242To cut the base of this round tag I used the large of the Lawn Fawn “Stitched Circle Tags” on white cardstock. Then I cut the Snow Capped Mountains by Mama Elephant and I inked the stitched tops. Then I cut a snow border using the Mama Elephant creative cuts “Landscape Trio” to set the little deer. I inked the little snow border a little bit to give it some of dept.

DSC_8253I stamped and colored all the images using Copic Marker, then I die cut them, using the “Reindeer games” Creative cuts coordinated dies. I set the scenes, and I adhered all the elements using foam adhesive and liquid glue. I also added some details to the deer using a white gel pen.

DSC_8222To finish the tags I die cut a the smallest bow out of red cardstock using a “Dienamics Beautiful Bows” by My Favorite Things,” but you could used any bow you have handy or even ribbon. Then I thread some red and white bakers twine through the tag’s holes. At this point, you can decide, if you want a tag, then stamp the words “to and from” in the back, or you could make an ornament out of it, by inserting the tag in the middle of one of those ornaments that come in two halves, these tags fit perfectly in the 70 mm. ornaments.

I hope you got inspired to enter this challenge, you’ll have until the Friday November 13th to enter.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a lovely day!

Holiday Card Featuring Mama Elephant and Pretty Pink Posh Sequins

Written by Heidi. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Tips & Tricks

Hello everybody, Heidi here! Today I am sharing with you a card featuring the new “Twinkle towns” stamp set by Mama Elephant. I love making cards that have backgrounds with sequin work, so I’m always on the look out for stamps and die sets that let me do that, so as soon I saw this set I thought that I needed it, in order to make these sort of cards. Let me show you the card and I’ll briefly tell you how I make it. I didn’t do a step by step tutorial, however it is the same process of another card that I made back in July, so I will link it HERE and there is a photo tutorial on that post.

DSC_8173First I cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die, then I cut the two circles, after that I stamped the Christmas bauble or ornament. You will need a circle die that is a little bit smaller than the stamp. I adhered the sequins directly on to the card base and then I adhered the die cut panel with foam adhesive.

DSC_8172I used the Mama Elephant Creative Cuts “Twinkle towns” “Oh joy” die cut sentiment and the little bow from the Mama Elephant Creative Cuts Basic set, I cut them out of foil paper. The sequins that I used were Pretty Pink Posh Red Raspberry and Metallic Gold in cupped 6mm.

I hope you enjoyed this very simple card, you can try any combination of sequins, or try to make patterns. I promise you it’s very simple to glue the sequins using a quick stick or any other sticky tip tool, you can do that while you watch your favorite TV show or talk over the phone.

Thanks so much for stopping by I’ll see you soon with more inspiration and projects!
