Season’s Greetings

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Uncategorized, Videos

Hi everyone it’s Holly here, and welcome back to the MarkerPop blog. Today I have a super cute card using the new Reindeer Games set from Mama Elephant.

mp2

I started out a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor card stock and I used Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress inks to create a ombre’ background. Then I die cut some hills using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Stitched Hillsides Borders and adhered them using Scotch ATG adhesive. Then I die cut the entire panel with the Mama Elephant Pizazz Pieces die set.

I stamped the greeting from the new Mama Elephant set Christmas Scene and heat embossed it in White along the top of the panel. I stamped the reindeer onto a piece of white card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them in with Copics and fussy cut them out and adhered them with dimensional adhesive. The image panel is adhered to a Top folding White card base. I wanted a touch of shimmer so I added some Red & Green Wink of Stella to the reindeer collars and some Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Friends Warm the Heart

Hello Crafters!

Halloween is behind us and we are heading straight for those winter months. I know I, like most of you, hate that I buy stamps that I can only use for that specific holiday.

But what if you could use them year round? Guess what? YOU CAN!!

Let me show you 🙂

See that  house? Yeah, it’s the spooky mansion from Lawn Fawn’s Happy Haunting. I know right?!

I love stretching my stamps and this is a great way to do it. A few color choices and pairing it with other stamps sets can allow us all to use the “specific” holiday stamps whenever we want!

I paired Lawn Fawn’s Happy Haunting set with their Toboggan Together and Making Frosty Friends. Goodbye spooky old mansion, hello charming farm house. Landscape dies can really help you pull a scene together quickly too.

You can see it all come together in the video below!

The Copic markers I used are: C1, C3, C5, C7, C9, W1, W3, W5, W7, E31, E55, E57, E59,

R20, R32, R35, R29, R59, YR09, Y38, Y00, YG93, YG95, YG97, and YG99

I also used Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks. Some clear Wink of Stella helped it shine 🙂

I hope you’re inspired to use your holiday stamp sets differently.

Don’t forget if you want a chance to win a $25.00 gift card to MarkerPOP you can check out my challenge here.

Christmas Greetings

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Tips & Tricks, Tutorials, Videos

Hey everyone it’s Holly here with a Christmas card. I’m using the gorgeous set from Altenew called Poinsettia & Pines along with some Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. This is one card two ways..

mp5

I had an incident with my sentiment on my first attempt and I decided to just alter my plan. I stamped the Poinsettia images onto some Distress Watercolor Paper two times and colored one of them in completely with some Zig Pens ( Red #20 , Carmine Red #22, Violet #80, Light Green #41, Green #40, Deep Green #44, Yellow #50 & Beige #72) . Then I colored just the center leaves on the second image.

mp2

Cut out the entire fully colored Poinsettia and then just the center portion on the second one. And once you have them cut out you will layer them with some dimensional adhesive. I cut a piece of Pattern paper to fit a standard card front and stamped the Pines onto it in Lawn Fawn Noble Fir ink and then I stamped the sentiment below in Lawn Fawn Black Licorice ink. Then I added the poinsettia image over the pines with some glue and finished the card with some Gold enamel Dots and some Gold Stickles to the center of the flower. On my other card I used some Gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh in place of the Dots.

Most Wonderful Time of the Year…

Written by Annette Allen. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Videos

Happy Day MarkerPop! Friends.
Annette Allen here with you today.
Today I am playing with:
Copic Sketch: E00, E000, R81, R85, E17, E15, E13, B26, B24, W5, W3, W1, G07, G05 and G03
Who’s getting ready to make those fun Christmas cards? I try and get a couple months ahead start that way I can just put a stamp on them and mail them off. I just love this Mama Elephant: Alpine Carolers because it is a family scene and I think that is just precious. So fun to color and it has some great sentiments. The background is watercolored just for more color and I cut up some Avery Elle: The Jewel Collection 6×6 paper pad and pieced it together for the base background.
MarkerPop! has a great selection of Mama Elephant so make sure and check it out HERE.
Until next time!
Have an awesome day.
Thanks for stopping by.
