Peek-a-boo Card Featuring My Favorite Things

Written by Heidi. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Uncategorized

Hello everybody, Heidi here! Welcome back to the Maker POP blog, today am sharing with you a peekaboo card using My Favorite Things Stamps, and Dienamics.

The holidays are around the corner but I still have birthdays and other especial occasions to make cards for. Today’s card can be used for a birthday or encouragement for friend, child, or coworker. Let me show you the card that I made, and I will tell you a little bit more about it.

DSC_7950For this card I used the “Pure Innocence Clowning Around” stamp and coordinated Dienamic set, the “Peek-a-boo circle Dienamics” and the stitched rectangle panel from the “Blueprints No.24”

DSC_7951I die cut and stamped the little clowns using “Memento Tuxedo Black” ink and them I colored them using Copic Markers. I used a blue-green, orange, and pink color palette, which I thought it was pretty fun for a cute little clown, and I added details on the bows, using a white gel pen .

DSC_7952I used stripped black and white paper for the background inside the peek-a-boo windows. To finish my card I applied some glossy accent to the clown’s noses and I added few of my favorite Pretty Pink Posh Sequins on “Sparkling clear” and “Pink Peonies”

I hoped you enjoy this card, all the supplies are listed and linked below have a wonderful day!

Treat or Treat Featuring Lawn Fawn

Written by Heidi. Posted in 3D, Anything But a Card, Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello everybody, Heidi here today sharing with you some milk carton treats, using Lawn Fawn products.  As Halloween approaches, we have to start working on our gifts and treats we will have for the kids, teachers or maybe for coworkers, so here is an quick an easy idea that I wanted to share with you. Let me show you and I will tell you a little bit more about it.

DSC_7997
I die cut the”Milk carton Lawncuts” using patterned paper from the “Let’s polka in the dark collection.” I also die cut some grass with the “grassy border” die  out of some green card stock, and  some clouds borders out of black card stock, using the “stitched puffy clouds border dies.”

DSC_7989 MpopI used the smallest one of the “Stitched circle tags” to stamp the sentiment or message “trick or treat” from the “critters in costume” stamp set, and I heat embossed it. I punched two small holes on the flaps on the milk carton and attache the circle tag using baker’s twine.

DSC_7995I stamp, colored, and die cut  the critters and accessories from the “party animal” and “holiday party animal” and adhered to the assembled milk cartons, using foam adhesive

I hope you enjoyed this project and that you’ll give it a try. I promise you, they are very easy to put together, very quick project on which kids can help too, by coloring the images, that would make it much more fun!

Have a great rest of the week!
