Colorful Saturday Family Easter Celebration

Written by Heidi. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Saturday Spotlight, Uncategorized

Welcome back, Heidi here bringing you some inspiration for a small Easter celebration. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

I had created some cupcake toppers using My Favorite Things and Lawn Fawn products. I had used a lot of different things, but I promise you. it was simple and fun!

I die cut the cup cake wrappers from the “Lawn Fawn Cup Cake Wrapper die”, and I placed my cupcakes in them.

Family Easter Celebration!

I die cut and stamped the bunnies form the “Some Bunny” stamp set from My Favorite Things, and colored with Copic Markers using very simple coloring. Then I started building the little scene for the toppers. Using the dotted cloud from the same stamp set, I stamp the sky and blend it with a little bit of “Tumble Glass” distress ink. I die cut grass with the “Grassy Border Die” by Lawn Fawn, and die cut the the scene with one of the circles from the “Small stitched circles” from Lawn Fawn.

I stamped and die cut the eggs, using the little the egg from the “Baked With Love” stamp set by Lawn Fawn, I colored them with Copic Markers and I added dots with a white gel pen.

The winner of the Lawn Fawn set was,

Congratulations Dana!

I also wanted to remind you, that we are having  our Crafty Friendship blog hop, which Marker POP is sponsoring , and you can click here and leave your comments throughout the weekend for the chance of winning one of our great prizes!

Today I am bringing you a card that I created using one of the recent sets from Mama Elephant, available from our shop, “Bear Hugs” I also used lots of distress ink and masking. I hope you’ll like this card, and that you get inspired to create with masks, distress inks, and Copics.

All the supplies are linked bellow

First I cut a circle on masking paper using a circle die, I placed the negative space and I created the sun, with the blending tool, and some distress inks. I removed the mask, and cover the sun with a circle mask. I used my paper tripper to cut different stripes of masking paper, also I cut a wavy mask using scissors, then I tore some masking paper to make the shore line. And I blended my sunset background, as well as the sand.

What I like about distress inks, is that there is not right or wrong, just play with then and blend along! The seagulls are  from the  “Life is Good” stamp set by Lawn Fawn. The “I love you” is from the “Purrfect pair” stamp set by Mama Elephant.
