Merry Christmas Tag

Written by jpascarella. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello, MarkerPop friends! It is Jessi here today. I am excited to share with you my latest project. I paired up a couple different stamp sets with a super adorable paper pad for today’s project.

I decided to take a step away from cards and create a tag. I used the C.C. Designs Layering Tag dies and My Mind’s Eye’s Sugar Plum to form the tags.

I used one of the deer images from the Avery Elle’s North Pole Pals stamp set and colored it in with Chameleon markers. The image is then cut out and attached to the front of the tag. A simple sentiment is formed from the Lawn Fawn’s Frosty Fairy Friends stamp set and attached at the bottom of the tag. To finish the tag, a hole is punched at the top and twine is insert. The tag is now ready to be added to the perfect gift!

Markers used on this project: Chameleon’s NU1, NU3, RD4, BR2, BR5, YO3, YL2, CG8

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Happy Day

Written by Clare. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello there! Clare here today, with a gender-neutral baby card, featuring the adorable Avery Elle Woodland Wonders!

I started my card off by blending a background of Scattered Straw and Wild Honey, scattering some water on it, and then picking up the water with a paper towel, to leave those soft, dreamy little spots on the background.

I then stamped the trees in Versamark, heat embossed with black embossing powder, and then colored in with Light Gray and water for the trees bark, and ?? and ?? for the leaves. I cut out the trees, and adhered it to the card on some dimensional adhesive.

I stamped and heat embossed the bird and nest, and colored with Brown, Carmine Red, Green Gray and Beige. I die cut it, and adhered it to the card base, along with a stamped, heat embossed and die cut sentiment banner.

I adhered some strips of cardstock on the bottom and top of the trees, cutting the two strips at a slope for the bottom of the card, and then finished off the card with some clear droplets.

Thanks so much for stopping in today and God bless!

Band Birthday

Written by Clare. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello there! Clare here today, with a party night scene!

For todays card, I started out by blending a background on watercolor cardstock using Chipped Sapphire, and then die cutting it with the My Favorite Things Stars in the Sky background die. Just make sure you clean the die after die cutting a freshly inked piece of cardstock, otherwise some ink will remain on the die and transfer over to the next paper you cut with it – ask me how I know. 😉

I backed it up with some glittery cardstock, freehand cut some hills, and then heat embossed a sentiment from Avery Elle’s Band Camp, the star of today’s show.

Now, onto those crazy critters. Honestly, when I color, I don’t usually keep track of what specific pen colors I used, because I usually do a lot of blending, and there’s so many different ways to get the same shading, with just different pen colors or different amounts of color layering. But, the overall gist of coloring for these guys goes as such: alligator (Olive Green and Pale Green), turtle (Mid Green and Pale Green), owl (Light Gray and Gray Brown), hats (Deep Blue and Blue) and instruments (Yellow).

I die cut those suckers out, adhered them to the card base, and finished the card off with some Glossy Accents on the instruments.

Thanks so much for stopping in and God bless!

Avery Elle – Thank You

Written by jpascarella. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello, everyone! It is Jessi here today! As I have said before, Avery Elle is one of my favorite stamp companies! Their images are super fun and so easy to work with! So I decided to bring out one of their older sets and give it a new life!

I don’t know about you, but when I think of flowers I usually think about bright and cheery colors. I decided that since fall is around the corner, I was going to use fall colors on the flowers in the Avery Elle’s Floral Frame stamp set.

The first step I took was to stamp and emboss the image in black. The image is then colored in with a variety of Zig Clean Color Markers. I used some of the regular reds, oranges, and yellows ZIG markers. To turn the colors more into the fall scheme, I added touches of browns. The sentiment is stamped onto a stitched pendant die cut.

ZIG Clean Color Markers used on today’s project:

070 Orange, 052 Bright Yellow, 050 Yellow, 067 Mustard, 064 Oatmeal, 065 Mid Brown, 022 Carmine Red,

041 Lt. Green, 047 May Green, 043 Olive Green

Thank you for stopping by today!

Have a great day!
