Filled with Color Card

Written by Samantha Peyton. Posted in Uncategorized

Hello everyone!

Samantha here, filling in for Alyssa today!  And I have a nice colorful card for you featuring a brand new stamp set from SP and Company. This stamp set is called Lucky Day.

The rainbow was colored in with the following Copic colors:

  • Purple Layer: BV02, BV04, and BV13
  • Blue Layer: B00, B02, and B05
  • Green Layer: YG11, YG06, and G14
  • Yellow Layer: Y02, Y06, and Y08
  • Orange Layer: YR00, YR07, and YR16
  • Red Layer: R00, R29, R59

To get the very lightest area in the center of the rainbow, I used the colorless blender (number 0) to push the color towards the ends of the rainbow.

And as you can see, the red part ran a little bit because I colored it too quickly after the yellow layer and my yellow layer wasn’t all the way dried yet!  When coloring with Copics, you do have to be a little patient and let touching areas dry before coloring them.

New Stamp News

Written by Ash. Posted in Uncategorized

Hi Copic Lovers! It’s Linda here, and I am so excited to be sharing some news with you today. As you already know iCopic.com carries stamps from Your Next Stamp (seen HERE), but have you heard that iCopic.com soon will be carrying the new YNS ‘World Kids’ stamps? Yes, you read that correctly! What? You haven’t seen them? Well, here is a preview of some of the YNS ‘World Kids’.

 This is Erin.

This is Pierre.

This is Asha

Here is Anika.

Here are two cards I made using Anika from Holland. The first card was made for the CHA release of the ‘World Kids’ in January 2011. Isn’t she cute holding her tulips?

Recipe for second card:
YNS ‘Anika’ stamp (comes with a kitty stamp also)
Memento tuxedo black ink
X-Press It Blending paper
Copic markers:
  E00, 11, 31, 35
R81, 83, 85, 89  (I also used these colors to dye the ribbon to match.)
YR20, 21, 23 (The shoes are paper-pieced with the BG paper and shaded with markers)
  G20, 99
  YG91, 99
Basic Grey Paper
Twine, button, paper fasteners, dyed seam binding
Nestabilities

Be sure and check back for more details about new stamps arriving at iCopic.com. Also iCopic.com is on Facebook where announcements are made by Ashley. Don’t forget the Color Challenge from Monday.
Thanks for stopping by. LC
