Hello honey!

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi, everyone!  Kelli here today with another Valentine’s Day card to share with you!

First, this post is also going to be a ‘goodbye’.  This is my last post as part of the MarkerPOP! design team.  I’m going to miss being on this absolutely amazing team with this group of wonderful ladies. Valerie has done an awesome job taking over the role as DT leader!  I can’t wait to see what the team does in the future and will be checking back often!

Now, onto the project!

All the stamping was done using the Paper Smooches – Bee Mine stamp set.  I stamped the two bees in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It – Blending Paper and colored them with Copics:
bodies – Y35, Y15, Y11
wings – B000, B0000

I cut out the bees and heart using the coordinating Paper Smooches – Bee Mine die set.

All the patterned paper is from the Avery Elle – The Everyday 6×6 paper pad.  The blue background was cut out using a die from the Lawn Fawn – Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables die set.  The green grass was cut out using the Lawn Fawn – Hillside Borders die set.

The card base is a Lawn Fawn – Butternut Woodgrain Notecard.  Everything was adhered using the Crafter’s Companion – Adhesive Runner and dimensional foam adhesive.

To finish everything off I added some Wink of Stella – Glitter Pen in Clear to the bees’ wings and heart.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂

Whale You be Mine?

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi, everyone!  Kelli here today with a punny Valentine’s Day card to share with you!  All the stamping was done with the Lawn Fawn – Whale You Be Mine stamp set.  I stamped the two whales in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It – Blending Paper and colored them with Copics:
C6, C5, C4, C3, C2, C1
B00, Booo, Boooo

To make the whale on the left a little girly I gave her some eyelashes using the small nib on the Memento – Tuxedo Black marker.

I used the coordinating Lawn Fawn – Whale You Be Mine die set to cut out the whales and the heart.

All the patterned paper is from the Avery Elle – The Everyday 6×6 paper pad.  I cut the yellow background out using a die from the Lawn Fawn – Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables die set.  The ocean waves were cut out using various dies from the Lawn Fawn – Stitched Hillside Borders die set.  The card base is a Lawn Fawn – Cranberry Woodgrain Notecard.

Everything was adhered using the Crafter’s Companion – Adhesive Runner and dimensional foam adhesive.

To finish everything off I added some Lawn Fawn – Orchid Hemp Cord tied into a bow around the bottom and some Wink of Stella glitter pen in Clear to the whales and the heart.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂Copic Whale You Be Mine 1 Copic Whale You Be Mine 2 Copic Whale You Be Mine 3 Copic Whale You Be Mine 4 MP Kelli Badge

Hi, everyone!  Kelli here today to share another Valentine’s Day card with you!  The bee and sentiment are from the Paper Smooches – Bee Mine stamp set.  I stamped the bee in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It – Blending Paper and colored him with Copics:

I cut out the bee with the coordinating Paper Smooches – Bee Mine die set.  The sun is from the Paper Smooches – Spectrum stamp set and cut out using the Spectrum die set.

The blue, green, and yellow patterned papers are from the Avery Elle – The Everyday 6×6 paper pad.  To make the hills I cut the green patterned paper with the Lawn Fawn – Stitched Hillside Borders die set.  The blue background was cut out using a die from the Lawn Fawn – Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables die set.  The hearts were cut out using the Lawn Fawn – Hearts die set from some patterned paper from the Doodlebug – Kraft in Color (Color) 6×6 paper pad.

Love – Distress Ink Splatter

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi, everyone!  Kelli here today with a fun ‘love’ card to share with you.  This particular card I’m going to give to my husband for Valentine’s Day!  The main focus of this card is the background so I wanted to keep the sentiment pretty simple.  For the ‘love’ I stamped the l, v, and e from the Lawn Fawn – Quinn’s ABCs stamp set with Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It – Blending Paper and colored them with Copics:
l – BV04, BV02, BV01
v – V17, V15, V12
e – RV29, RV25, RV23

I cut them out with the coordinating Quinn’s ABCs die set and adhered them to a black piece of card stock.  The heart for the o and the black hearts were cut out with the Lawn Fawn – Hearts die set.

Behind the black piece I adhered some pink patterned paper from the Doodlebug – Kraft in Color (Color) 6×6 paper pad.  Then I tied a bow with some Purple Crush baker’s twine.

To make the background I took 5 different mini distress ink pads in random purples and pinks and stamped them directly onto a nonstick craft sheet.  I sprayed them with some water from a Ranger – Mini Mister and then set a piece of Tim Holtz – Watercolor Paper directly into the ink puddles.  I dried it off with a heat tool and then dabbed it back into the ink puddles to achieve the darker spots.
The Distress Ink colors I used were:
Picked Raspberry from Kit #1
Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac from Kit #4
Dusty Concord from Kit #8
Milled Lavender from Kit #11

I cut that piece out using a die from the Lawn Fawn – Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables die set.

Everything was adhered using the Crafter’s Companion – Adhesive Runner and dimensional foam adhesive.

To finish everything off I added some Wink of Stella Glitter Pen in Clear to all of the letters and the hearts and then covered the hearts with Glossy Accents.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂
