Hi everyone, Kelli here today!  My aunt’s birthday is coming up so I thought I’d share her card with you!  All the stamping, besides the ‘aunt’, was done using the Tiddly Inks – Flying High stamp set.  This is an oldie but a goodie!  I love that cute little dog!  The main image is stamped in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It – Blending Paper and colored with Copics:
dog – C4, C2, C1
balloons – BV04, BV02, BV01, BG07, BG05, BG2, YG09, YG07, YG05
outline – B01, B0000
aunt – YG09, YG07, YG05, R39, R37, R35, BV04, BV02, BV01, BG07, BG05, BG02

I cut out the main image with a die from the Lawn Fawn – Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables die set.  The ‘aunt’ was stamped using the Lawn Fawn – Quinn’s ABCs stamp set and cut out with the coordinating Quinn’s ABCs die set.

The yellow patterned paper is from the Doodlebug – Kraft in Color (Color) 6×6 paper pad.  The card base is the Lawn Fawn – Cranberry Woodgrain Notecard.

Everything was adhered using the Crafter’s Companion – Adhesive Runner and dimensional foam adhesive.

I added a bow using Purple Crush Baker’s Twine to the lefthand side of the image.  The large pink, white, and blue sequins are from the Lawn Fawn – Hello Sunshine sequin pack.  The small purple sequins are the Pretty Pink Posh – 4mm Amethyst and the light blue is the 4mm Cornflower.

I finished everything off with some sparkle on the balloons and the ‘aunt’ letters using the Wink of Stella Glitter Pen in Clear.

So how did I work this theme into my card?

I decided to create a New year’s themed card and add some blue in the glasses and the the ring.  

I used a blue patterned designer paper and embellished the designer paper and corners of the focal image with glitter!

(Just a little something new, shiny and bright for the New Year!)

The edges of the image were heavily distressed.  

The focal image was masked and the background colored with cool grey Copic markers and bubbles were added for fun. 

Dots were added to the background to represent confetti and then sprayed with iridescent glitter to give the feel of magic – that comes with the New Year!
