We Have Great Chemistry: LF + Zig

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello!  It is Lisa here with you today and I have an overly bright and fun Shaker card to share with you today that uses a mix of Lawn Fawn and Zig® Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  And I have to let you know that new Zig products are now available in the store, and that the new CHA Lawn Fawn release will be here at the end of the week! eeeekkk!!!  So make sure you hop over to the store to check out all of the new goodies that are already here or that are on their way, and grab some good deals too!  Ok, now back to my card hehehe….

To create my card I started with a panel of watercolor cardstock and my ZIG® Markers in Pink, Dark Pink, Purple, Light Violet, and Deep Violet.  I randomly added colors to my panel and went over them with a water brush before setting it off to dry.  I then stamped the flasks from the Science of Love Set by Lawn Fawn and colored those in with Cobalt blue, Pink, Light Blue, Light Pink, Dull Blue, and Yellow.  Once those dried and cut them out and went over the edges with my Memento Marker.  When the background panel was dry I used the flasks to position my sentiment and the heart swirls before stamping them with a Versafine ink.  Next, I die cut the Lawn Fawn Cut Set – Hearts from the back panel.  I then added acetate  behind the hearts, foam adhesive, beads, and glitter.  For a little more interest I adhered my panel at an angle and added some washi tape along the top.  The Pretty Pink Posh sequins finished it all off.

Make sure you stop by the store to see all of the new goodies!  The discounts are awesome too!

Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting/Shopping!

Going Places With Wplus9

Written by Heidi. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Saturday Spotlight, Uncategorized

Hello everybody, Heidi here, welcome back to the Marker POP blog! I hope you had a great week, and that you are enjoying your weekend.

Today I am sharing with you a encouragement card using the new “Going Places” stamp and coordinated die set, by Wplus9. There are so many cute images in that stamp set, I love them! Let me show you the card, and I will be telling you a little bit more about it, as always all the supplies are listed and linked below.

DSC_7760First, I created a watercolor washed background using Zig clear water colors real brush markers, for this background I used the No. 031 Cobalt blue, and the No. 042 Turquoise green. I colored all the diecut images with Copic markers using soft colors ( listed below).

DSC_7765I adhered all the die cut images using foam adhesive, I also used some glossy accents on the hot air balloon, I stamp the sentiment using Versafine Onyx black ink, and added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins as finishing touches.

DSC_7766I used some pink twine to for the bunny to hang on to the bear up in the hot air balloon, and I adhered the card panel to a white card base made of Bazzill Marshmallow card shoppe cardstock.

Copic Markers that I used: E21, E23, E 25, RV11, RV13, Y11, Y13, BG11, BG13, C1, C3, R20.

Written by Heidi. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Tips & Tricks, Uncategorized

Hello, everybody, Heidi here today, sharing with you a shaker card using the new “Fintastic Friends” and “So jelly” Stamps sets by Lawn Fawn, such fun and adorable sets! They are great to make friendship cards or I even think they will be nice for kids cards also!

Let me show you what I did, and I will be telling you a little bit more about it, while I show you the pictures

All supplies are listed and linked below

I created the background using water color paper and Distress inks, and I stamped and colored all the images using Copic markers

For the sand at the bottom, I used the “Life is good” stamp set by Lawn Fawn also. I also added some details with a white gel pen.

I created the frame, suing the Lawn Fawn large and small, stitched rectangle dies, and I added some small clear beads. I didn’t want to add different colors of beats or sequins, because I wanted my sea creatures to be focus.

I hope you’ll enjoy this card and get inspired to try these adorable sets!
