Woof Bark Happy Birthday!

Written by Valerie Ward. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi Crafters! Valerie here, and I’m using Paper Smooches today; I created a fun birthday card! The products I’m featuring are newer and older, and we don’t carry some of them anymore, but I’ll still list all them here:

Paper Smooches stamps & dies, Pretty Pink Posh sequins, Lawn Fawn inks, Copics {ValByDesign, 2016}

I stamped all the images using my Mini Misti stamp tool (love that baby!) (we have the Large size, too!). I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press IT Blending Card Paper, and colored them with my Copic Sketch markers (colors listed at the end).

For the card base background, I stamped the cute sentiments using Lawn Fawn’s Mermaid ink. And the background of the shaker portion has the images stamped using 3 Lawn Fawn inks: Lobster, Manatee, and Black Licorice. I filled the shaker with Pretty Pink Posh cupped sequins (all the colors are listed in the Supply list at the end of the post).

I added Glossy Accents to the dog’s nose, Zig Clear Wink of Stella to the bird, and a mixture of Shamrock Stickles and Blue Bayou Stickles to the dog’s collar.

Have a wonderful day, a great week, and Happy Crafting!

Copic colors used:

  • Dog: E23, E25, E27, E29 / Spots: E50, E53 / Nose: T4, T6, T8 / Collar: BG45, BG49 / Eyelid: R00 / Eye: B0000

Here’s a cute one featuring Paper Smooches today!

I’m using the adorable Boom Bots stamp set & coordinating die set, and the Gift Tags 2 die set. I stamped the images with Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press IT Blending Card Paper, and colored them with Copics (Robot: C00, C2, C4, C6, C8 / Dog: W00, W2, W4, W5, W7).

The large gear is stamped with VersaMark, and I used a silver embossing powder. All the small gears are stamped with grey inks (Memento Gray Flannel, Memento London Fog, Lawn Fawn Hipp0). I painted Zig Clear Wink of Stella on the raised up screws.

Hi, Crafters! It’s Valerie today, and I have a card for the Anything Goes Challenge using Paper Smooches!

I have 4 wonderful “little” brothers: the 3 youngest and I have the same mom, but different dads; their dad is full blown Irish, so I have a St. Patricks Day card to send them (I created 3 different versions of this)! I had a blast creating this card using old AND new PS products:

The rainbow die I used we do not carry in the MP store anymore, so Lawn Fawn’s Rainbow die would work just as nicely (and a pack of rainbow glitter paper!). And I used Mama Elephant’s Grassy Trio die set for the grass.

The images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press IT paper, and colored with Copic Sketch markers (colors listed at the end). I stamped the gold pot with MFT’s new Pineapple Pigment ink.

In the next image, you can see how I die cut the rainbow shape out of the card base, and then glued the rainbow color pieces into the open space, to keep it all flush. It looks so nice in person (very clean).

Isn’t Mr. Leprechaun just the cutest? I also colored him with red hair; that turned out reaaly nice.

Paper Smooches stamps & dies, Copics {ValByDesign, 2016}The Copic colors I used are:

  • Skin: E000, E00, E11 / R20
  • Hair: C00, C01, C03
  • Greens on leprechan: G12, G14, G16
  • Yellows on leprechan: Y13, Y15, Y17
  • Blacks for buildings: C5, C7, C9
  • Grass for city scene: G20
  • Four-leaf clover: G24, G28

Thanks for stopping by today; have a wonderful day and a great week!

Let’s Get Away

Written by Kelly Latevola. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello Crafters!

Today I have a pretty clean and simple (but colorful) card for you guys.

DSCN2992

I stamped the super cute ship scene from Paper Smooches Sweet Escape in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I masked it and then created a second mask to add a square around it. Once everything was covered up I used distress inks and an ink blending tool to create a sunset background. From bottom to top I used Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin, Abandoned Coral, Wilted Violet, and Salty Ocean Once that was done I removed all the masks to move on to the Copic coloring.

DSCN2991

I chose colors that were pretty similar to my distress inks to “reflect” in the water. I used Copic Markers YR15, R20, R32, V12, V15, B00, B02, and B04. I worked in reverse on the distress inks blending my colors as I went. After all the colors were blended I went back in with the B markers and added small waves lines. I did the same thing with a white gel pen. I wanted the card to have a cleaner feel so I used my T-square ruler and a black pen to draw a border around my ink blending. The sentiment from the same set was stamped in black. To finish it off I gave my water a nice coat of Clear Wink of Stella.

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Enjoy your weekend 🙂

Kelly
