Good morning, Crafters! It’s Valerie here today, and it’s time for another MarkerPOP! Challenge! The theme is Anything Goes, so I made a Birthday card!

I’m working with the Paper Smooches Birthday Bash stamp set and their Fancy Frames Icon die set for this colorful one!

Yes, the background is the stamped balloons heat embossed with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder, and then lots of Distress Inks (colors shown in supply list below). I did some dabbing of color onto the Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper with a paint brush, and I also did some smooshing of the paper into the ink & water on the craft mat. 

The cake is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press IT Blending Card paper, and colored with Copic Sketch markers: Y02, Y06, Y08 / BG01, BG02, BG05 / YG01, YG03, YG25 / BV21, BV23 / YG09

The final touch was painting all the balloons with my Zig Clear Wink of Stella, and then covering them with Glossy Accents.

Hi Crafter’s! It’s Valerie here today, and I have a fun jungle scene using lots of Lawn Fawn and Tim Holtz Distress Inks!

The Lawn Fawn goodies used on this card are:

• Critters in the Jungle stamp set and coordinating die set

For the background, I applied ink from Distress ink pads onto my craft mat, spritzed them with water with mini spray bottles, and rubbed the Tim Holtz Watercolor paper in the inks. The Distress Ink colors I used are:

• Dried Marigold
• Fossilized Amber
• Squeezed Lemonade
• Walnut Stain

I stamped all the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock, and colored with Copic Sketch markers:

• Big Leaf Plant: G14, G16, G19
• Single Leaves: G24, G28, G29

To add a little sparkle and shine, I added Glossy Accents to the bird’s beak and the leopard’s nose, Crushed Pineapple Stickles & Orange Slice Stickles to the flowers’ centers, and Clear Zig Wink of Stella to the bird and the flowers.
