Gift Card Holder

Written by Melisssa Forquer. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi ya everyone!  Melissa here today with a quick project.  This time of year I feel like I need quick and easy projects to make something look special but that doesn’t take TOO much time.  Shopping, baking, working and finishing up wrapping leaves little time.  However, as a paper crafter I always like gifts to look special.

This year we decided to go with gift cards for family.  I rarely like the paper holders that come with them and I’ve had these little tin cans around for awhile.  I spray painted them in silver and set to decorate!

I used paper from First Edition and paired it with cherry red and aqua baker’s twine.  The Merry Christmas stamp is from Lawn Fawn.  All you need is gorgeous paper, some twine and an easy sentiment to make these fun gift card holder tins!

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and are inspired to try making these on your own!

Warm Wishes Penguin

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi, everyone!  It’s Kelli and today I have a little penguin card to share with you!  He’s from the Some Odd Girl – Warm Wishes Tia stamp set.  I stamped him in Memento – Tuxedo Black Ink and colored him with Copics:
C7, C5, C3
G28, G07, G05, G03, G02
R29, R27, R24, R22
YR18, YR16, YR15
E19, E50

For the lighter green strip I sprayed a piece of white card stock with Key Lime Pie Glimmer Mist and then heat embossed the snowflakes from the same Some Odd Girl stamp set in white.  The small red strip and scalloped border is from the Bo Bunny – Mistletoe 6×6 Paper Pad.  I wanted to add a little more interest to the card and I also needed a place to anchor the sentiment so I added some Divine Baker’s Twine in Cherry.  The sentiment is also from the same stamp set and is heat embossed in white.

To finish everything off I added some Spica Glitter Pen in Clear to the green parts of the image.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂

Don’t open until Christmas!

Hi, everyone!  It’s Kelli here today with a gift box to share with you!  I stamped the adorable La-La Land Crafts – Present Luka in Memento – Tuxedo Black Ink and colored him with Copics:

E02, E01, E00, E000
E29, E27, E25, E23
E19, R29, R27, R24, R22
G07, G05, G03, G02
B37, B34, B32
BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11
C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, N0

The patterned paper is from the Bo Bunny – Mistletoe 6×6 paper pad.  The cute sentiment comes with the stamp which is awesome!  I colored a strip of paper with my G07 Copic marker and then heat embossed the sentiment in white.  I made it into a little tag using the Divine Baker’s Twine in Cherry.  I tried to mimic the present that Luka has with the actual gift box but I just swapped it so the present was red and the ribbon was teal.

I used a white gel pen to add the white stripes to the present Luka has for a little extra added detail.  I added a little bit of glitter to the white parts of his hat and boots and some Glossy Accents to the black part of the boots.  I finished everything off with some white gel pen stitch lines around the outer edges of the gift box.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂

Christmas Treat Box

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in 3D

Hi, everyone!  It’s Kelli and today I have a Christmas treat box to share with you!  It’s never too early to start on holiday projects.  I actually LOVE this time a year and all the craftiness that comes with it.  I live in Florida so we really look forward to the weather change, lol.  I used the absolutely adorable Lawn Fawn – Sweet Christmas set.  It’s really neat how you can create your own scene with all the pieces in this set.  It’s so fun and has endless possibilities!

All of the images were stamped in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics:
house- E29, E27, E25, E23
door- Y26, Y23, Y21, C5, C3
window- Y15, Y13, Y11, C5, C3
snow- B01, B0000
gingerbread man- E23, E31, E21, R22
candy cane- R27, R24, R22, B0000

The patterned paper is from the My Mind’s Eye – Winter Wonderland 6×6 paper pad.
The adorable little ‘for you’ sentiment was stamped using the Wild Rose Studio – Little Labels stamp set.  I used some Baker’s Twine in Green Envy to tie the bag of chocolate candies…mmmmm…chocolate!

The little green dot for the door handle and at the tip of the house are from the My Mind’s Eye – Winter Wonderland Enamel Dots pack.  These are really neat and different from your typical rhinestone or pearl. I added some Donna Salazar Fairy Dust Glitter in the color Sugar Shimmer to the snow to help it sparkle.  This glitter is so pretty and fine, I love it.  I added some Glossy Accents to the window and candy cane for some added shine.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂
