Woof Bark Happy Birthday!

Written by Valerie Ward. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi Crafters! Valerie here, and I’m using Paper Smooches today; I created a fun birthday card! The products I’m featuring are newer and older, and we don’t carry some of them anymore, but I’ll still list all them here:

Paper Smooches stamps & dies, Pretty Pink Posh sequins, Lawn Fawn inks, Copics {ValByDesign, 2016}

I stamped all the images using my Mini Misti stamp tool (love that baby!) (we have the Large size, too!). I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press IT Blending Card Paper, and colored them with my Copic Sketch markers (colors listed at the end).

For the card base background, I stamped the cute sentiments using Lawn Fawn’s Mermaid ink. And the background of the shaker portion has the images stamped using 3 Lawn Fawn inks: Lobster, Manatee, and Black Licorice. I filled the shaker with Pretty Pink Posh cupped sequins (all the colors are listed in the Supply list at the end of the post).

I added Glossy Accents to the dog’s nose, Zig Clear Wink of Stella to the bird, and a mixture of Shamrock Stickles and Blue Bayou Stickles to the dog’s collar.

Have a wonderful day, a great week, and Happy Crafting!

Rainbows & Unicorns

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Videos

Hi everyone it’s Holly here and today I have a card full of Rainbows and Happiness! I’m showing my age a bit… but how many of you remember the original My Little Pony circa 1980 something? The new set from The Greeting Farm called Magical Friends is My Little Pony perfection!

mpgfh2

How cute is that unicorn? There are two other ponies as well in the set and lots of fun sentiments. I started with a piece of Watercolor paper and using the Large Grid Stencil from MFT and Distress inks in Candied Apple, Mermaid Lagoon, Carved Pumpkin, Twisted Citron and Squeezed Lemonade I created a rainbow background.

I stamped the unicorn image onto some Neenah Solar White card stock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored in it with Copics… C0, C1, C3, Y21, Y26, BG10, BG11, BG13 & BG49. I fussy cut the image out but there is a coordinating die available in the store. Then I added some Clear & Gold Wink of Stella. I die cut the watercolor panel using the new Wonky stitched rectangles from MFT and a piece of vellum using the Wonky stitched circles from MFT. I added the watercolor panel to a top folding Black card base.

I stamped part of the sentiment onto a piece of Black card stock and heat embossed it in White then I trimmed them out. I stamped the rainbow sentiment using Lawn Fawn inks in… Lobster, Sunflower, Fake Tan, Fresh Cut Grass & Fish Tank. Then I die cut it using the Washi Tape die from the Avery Elle Envie die set. I adhered the sentiment pieces around the Unicorn image and adhered the vellum circle to the card front. Then I added some of the Sparking Clear Mix Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh for more Bling!!!

Check out the Video I created below for more details on How I made this card…

Time to Party…

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi everyone it’s Holly here today with a very Sparkly card for Mardi Gras!! It’s that time of year again and this new Mardi Gras set from Avery Elle is perfect for all the festivities.

mph2

I started by Die cutting a White panel using the Wonky Stitches Die from Avery Elle and a piece of Neenah Solar White Card stock. I stamped the bead image several times to create a background using Sugarplum & Noble Fir inks from Lawn Fawn. I also heat embossed a few strands using some Gold Sparkle powder from WOW.

mph1

I die cut a panel of Gold Glitter card stock using the same Large Wonky Stitch die and added it a top folding A2 size card base offset a little. Then I adhered the background panel with some foam adhesive. I stamped the images from the Mardi Gras set onto some white card stock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored them in with Copic Markers and fussy cut them out. I assembled the pieces adding some tiny 3mm gold sequin strands with glue dots. I added foam adhesive to the mask image and added it to the front of the card. I added some Clear & Gold Wink of Stella to the images.

mph3

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of White card stock that was die cut with the Banner in the Wonky Stitches die. I wanted some extra bling so I added some Gold, Green & Purple Sequins.

I used the following Copic markers

Mask: G14,G07 & G28 / Feathers: V15,V17  V09 / Gold Accents: Y21, Y26 & Y28 / Flower Center: E40

Thanks for stopping by today.. I’ll have a new video for you next week!

Happy Holidays!

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi everyone it’s Holly here and welcome back to the markerPop blog. I’m up today and I have a cute card using the Santa’s Elves set from My Favorite Things. This set is so adorable and it’s perfect for Holiday Cards!

hh2

I stamped the smaller images from the set randomly onto a piece of Distress Watercolor card stock with Distress Embossing ink and heat embossed them in White. Then I used some Salty Ocean Distress ink to add color over the embossed images.

The images are stamped on some White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in with Copics. After I fussy cut the images out I added some Gold & Clear Wink of Stella to areas of both images.

The watercolored panel is die cut with a large Rectangle Stitched die and mounted onto a White card base. Then I die cut the Peek A Boo Wonky Windows Die from MFT from some White card stock and adhered it with some dimensional adhesive. I then added the images over the Wonky Stitched window.

I stamped the sentiment from the same set onto a scrap of the White card stock in Black Ink and added it behind the Elf. For a bit of Sparkle I added some Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh using the Mix collection and some Ranger Multi Medium Matte adhesive.
