Howdy, Howdy, Howdy

Written by jpascarella. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! Cactus are very popular right now. I don’t know about you, but I cannot get enough of them. I have plenty stamps and papers covered with them! Why not add more to?!?

Today I am pairing up the Stamping Bella’s SG Cactus and Echo Park’s Just Be You paper pad:

I stamped the cactus onto light green paper from the 6×6 paper pad. I used a few different shades of green Chameleon markers to color in the image. The cactus are cut out and set aside. I used a few different prints, layered on the card base to start this card. To make the cactus pop, I added a circle die cut from the starry print from the paper pad.

To finish the card, I used the stamp ‘Howdy’ from the SG Cactus stamp set and repeatedly stamped across a printed strip of paper. This strip is then attached to the card using my Scotch glue tape.

The following Chameleon markers were used on today’s card: GR2, GR4, CB

Thank you for stopping by today!

Piñata Kind of Day…

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi!  It’s Lisa here and today I have a cute CAS card to share with you that is sure to brighten anyones day.  When I first saw the Piñata Squidgy Set by Stampingbella I just adored the little girls face.  As I looked at the set more, I fell in love with the sentiment too!

Isn’t she the cutest?!  To create my card I started by stamping the girl and piñata images onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock.  I LOVE this cardstock… the thickness is amazing, and your Spectrum Noir Markers blend beautifully on it!  Any who, I colored these images in with my Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers.  I have to brag a little about these markers too as I really like the thin nib on one end that allows you to get into tiny areas easily (and they are on sale, and I mean big time sale!).  Once they were completely colored I fussy cut them out and set them to the side.  Next, I worked on my frame by diecutting some yellow and blue watercolored patterned paper by Lawn Fawn with the My Favorite Things Stax Stitched Mini Scallop Oval.  I then stamped the piñata image again, but onto the blue patterned paper and without coloring it in.  I used Tombow Mono Glue to adhere my colored and cut images onto my card front, and I finished the card off my stamping the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you are able to join us in our newest challenge, and don’t forget to check out the awesome giveaway that is happening now!

Be Kind: Clean and Simple

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello!  It is Lisa here with you toady and I have a very clean and simple card to share with you today, using lots of new goodies from the store!  Let’s take a peek…

This card is simple to re-create and the only time consuming part is the coloring.  I love to color so it is more like therapy than taking up time, hehehe!  This cutie is from the new Stamping Bella release called: Tiny Town Garden Girl Poppy.  An example of her colored can be seen on the front of the stamp image and it is done in red, but I was just feeling the purples so I went with it.  Copic® Markers Used include: Face – E00, E21, E50, R20, Hair – E25, E57, E59, Dress and Flower top – BV0000, BV01, BV02, BV04, BV13, BV17, Tights – C1, C5, Leaves – YG17, YG25, Outline – B000.

MarkerPOP has recently added some new stamp companies to their shelves and one of them being Sugar Pea Designs.  So I grabbed a sentiment from one of my favorite stamp sets by them called Kindness Matters and I stamped it slightly in the lower right corner.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don’t forget to enter your projects into our latest challenge!

Happy Crafting!

Today we are looking at Lisa’s Favorite New Products !

Hello, hello!  It’s Lisa here, and I’m so excited to get to share some of my favorite new products being released at CHA this year!  There is so much out there during this time of year and sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming, so hopefully these posts will help narrow some things down for you or at least show specific products you may not have otherwise seen.  Now let’s feast on some major eye candy…

First I have to talk about the newly released Stamping Bella Products.  Oh. my. gosh. Cuteness overload!  Not only do they have some of their classic images like new Uptown Girls, but they’ve introduced several new type of stamps one of them being the Squidgies…

Aren’t they the cutest?!  And to go along with these they released some adorable critters…

Another company that I want to share some of their newly released products would be Jillibean Soup.  I know many people thinking scrapbooking when they think of this company, but they also have some super fun stamping products, and this release is no exception…

Coffee is still all the rage in card making and this set is particularly awesome because it includes the dies with it! ( and at a great price too, I might add! )  For planner lovers they’ve got you covered…

And don’t forget the cute shaker embellishments and card bases themselves.  Making a shaker card can’t get any easier…

One more company that I wanted to highlight today would be Hero Arts.  Hero Arts always has a way of winning our crafting hearts and their newest release is no different.  I just love their new layered stamps like this gorgeous peacock…

And check out the amazing inks they’ve made to take all of the guess work out of the layering…

Speaking of inks check out their newest ombre color ink pads…

Are you drooling yet? I know I am, hehehe!  And I must mention one more thing the newest Lawn Fawn goodies are also NOW available for you to order, so hop to it!  I know so many of these new goodies will be flying off the shelves.

Remember all new CHA products will be able to be seen here at this link.  If you would like to be kept in the loop of new products, promotions, etc. make sure you sign up to receive the MarkerPOP newsletter (scroll down and look on the left hand side for an area that says subscribe, plus you’ll get a discount code!).
