Wishing You Clear Skies

Written by jpascarella. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello, everyone! It is Jessi here today! I am showcasing a super cute My Favorite Things stamp set, Sweet Forest Friends and coordinating dies , and a variety of Chameleon markers and distress inks.

I love making scene cards that take up the entire card. However, I am switching it up today and creating a spotlight scene. To start off, I made an oval diecut out of watercolor paper. I blended two shades of distress ink, Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire to create the sky on the oval. Once the blending was complete, I added a few drops of water. After letting the water soak for a few seconds, I soaked up the water with a paper towel. I created the bottom part of the oval by using a grass border die.  I used a cloud and a moon die to finish off the scene.

I paired up the scene with a few print papers from the 6×6 Pink Paislee’s Cedar Lane paper pad. I used rectangle dies to create the frame. And a pendant die for the sentiment.

Bible Journaling with The Greeting Farm

Written by jpascarella. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello, everyone! It is Jessi here today. I am mainly a cardmaker, but recently, I started my journey with Bible Journaling. You can use a variety of mediums on the Bible pages. Today I will be using some Zig Clean Color Markers and some Chameleon markers, as well.

Along with the markers, I am working with the super cute stamp set, Jesus is the Way, from The Greeting Farm.

To start this page, I stamped the angel image onto white cardstock. Chameleon makers were use to color in the hair and skin parts of the image. The image is cut out and set aside. I took a piece of scrapbook paper and cut a strip to fit in the margin of the Bible. The angel image is attached towards the bottom of the strip and phrase ‘ Praise the Lord’ is stamped towards the top of the strip. Once this is done, set the strip aside and move onto the page itself.

The Greeting Farm’s Jesus is the Way stamp set includes a lot of word stamps.  I decided to use a variety of them to stamp onto the page. I am highlighting the words on a certain verse. In between some of the words and the empty spaces, I stamped the butterfly image or the trio of hearts stamp. The butterflies are colored in with a variety of yellow and orange ZIG Clean Color Markers.

To finish the page, I used a piece of washi tape to attach the strip of paper with the angel image. The tape is placed at the top of the strip (Half on the paper strip and half on the Bible page.) This allows you to flip up the strip to see the stamped verse underneath.

Markers used on today’s project:

Angel – Chameleon Markers (NU0, NU2, NU4, BR5)

Butterflies – ZIG Clean Color Markers (Bright Yellow 052, Yellow 050, Black 010P)

“Merci Beaucoup” with Mama Elephant

Written by Valerie Ward. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi everyone! It’s Valerie here today, and I’m focusing on 2 beautiful products from Mama Elephant: the Around We Go stamp set & matching die set, and the Cityscape die.

Mama Elephant - Around We Go Mama Elephant - Around We Go die set Mama Elephant Cretive Cuts - Cityscape

I created 2 cards with these products; they are both size A2.

The first one is a very light colored card; it’s a shaker card, but not my typical type. The Pretty Pink Posh tag from the  Stitched Duo 1 die is glued down to the card just on the edges of it, and there are Pretty Pink Posh sequins behind it that can still move around:

Mama Elephant & Pretty Pink PoshThe paper on the base is from the 6×6 Pink Paislee Color Wash paper pad.

The twine is very similar to the Natural Silver Shimmer Hemp Cord that MarkerPop! carries.

The second card is an evening theme using the same Mama Elephant stamp set and and dies.

The sky is created with Stormy Sky Distress Ink,  Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, and my Ink Blending Tool.

I used my Crafter’s Companion Tape Runner for most of the adhering that had to be done on these projects.

Still Cold Out There!

Written by Melisssa Forquer. Posted in Uncategorized

Hi ya iCopic Lovers, Melissa here to share a little card I put together.  I’m so excited to be joining this talented group of ladies and want to share my excitement with you!

The holidays are over and often times I find myself wishing for spring right away.  However, that’s just not going to happen, and it’s still COLD out there!  I decided to create this cute card using a winter stamp by The Greeting Farm from iCopic called Rain, Snow, Shine.  We all need adorable holiday stamps for our holiday cards but often times feel limited with them, but don’t!  You can still create gorgeous cards with a wintery feel that are perfect before, during, and after the holidays.

This is a perfect example. I stamped her on X-press It blending card paper with Tsukineko Tuxedo Black ink.  Next, I colored her with Copics in the following colors:  E50, E51, E53, E55, BG10, BG72, BG75, E000, E11, E00, R20, W1, W3, W5.  The paper is from Pink Paislee.  Don’t forget to stop by iCopic and get your fabulous winter stamps today!
