Magical Birthday: A Window Card

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello!  It is Lisa here with you today and not only is it Wednesday, but it also happens to be my Birthday, so I thought I had to do a Birthday card duh!  So I pulled out my new My Favorite Things Once Upon A Time Stamp Set and got busy…

To create this card I started by tracing the largest die from the My Favorite Things STAX Stitched Arch. I then stamped my background scene, and colored it all in with Copic® Markers. (Castle: RV00, RV02, RV23, V000, V12; Grass: G40, G43; Flowers: G46, B00, Y15; Sky: BG0000, B000; Path: E11, E21, C1, C3).  Once it was all colored in I die cut it out.  I decided to color before diecutting because it is just easier.  Next I worked on my sweet little Birthday Princess by stamping, coloring and cutting her out. (Princess: Face: E00, E21, E50, R20; Hair: E15, E25, E37; Dress: R20, R22, BG10, BG11, BG13)  I then die cut the same large STAX die from the front of my card before adding my sentiment.  To keep the background lined up with the opening in the card I kept the card closed and adhered the background cut through the opening in the front.  I then adhered my Princess and added some fun Nuvo Glitter Drops along with Pretty Pink Posh Clear Sequins.

Sunny Studios – Fluttering By

Written by jpascarella. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! I know that most of the US is experience some winter weather, but down here along the Texas Gulf Coast, we are having Spring weather. The highs the last few days have been 80 degrees! So the bugs and little critters are coming out because they as confused as we are as to what season it actually is!

Did you see that the newest Sunny Studios release arrived in the  MarkerPOP store today? Stop over to the Sunny Studios section of the store to see the products.  I brought out one of the older Sunny Studios stamp sets, Backyard Bugs, for today’s card.

I stamped the images onto white cardstock and colored in with variety of Chameleon markers. The image are cut out and set aside. I used Pink & Main’s Scalloped Waves to create the hilly background. The colored images are added to the scene. The house and snail are simply attach to the card.

For the butterfly, I only put tape down the center of the back. I attached the butterfly to the card and bent the winged up for some dimension to the card. The sentiment is stamped and embossed in white on a black strip of cardstock. The sentiment is tucked underneath the edge of the butterfly.

The following Chameleon markers were used on this card: RD4, YL2, BL3, BL6, BV4, BK4, NU0, NU1, NU3

Once again, the new Sunny Studios release is now available in the MarkerPOP store! We hope that you stop by and check it out!

Beary Warm Wishes…

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello!  It is Lisa Lahiff here with you today and I have this super cute bear card that is sure to melt a few hearts this Holiday season…

To create this card I started by stamping the bear and presents from the My Favorite Things Birthday Bears Stamp Set onto Neenah Solar White Cardstock.  I then colored them in with various Copic® Markers (Bear: C1, W9, R20; Presents: B24, B28, B95, YG17, G14, R24, R29).  After I cut all of the images out I set them to the side and began working on the background.  I wanted to create a fun snowy scene so I grabbed the My Favorite Things Snowfall Horizontal die and cut it out of a blue textured cardstock.  To create a snowy hill for the bear to sit on I used the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders One.  The sentiment was added to the lower right corner of the hill coming from the new Altenew Holiday Wishes Stamp Set and Lawn Fawn Deep Sea Die Ink.  I layered everything together and adhered the bear and one present with foam adhesive.

A Fairy Christmas…

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello!  It is Lisa Lahiff here with you today, and I’m sharing a simple Fairy Christmas card with all of you that uses the new Lawn Fawn Frosty Fairy Friends Set

To create this card I started by stamping the fairies repeatedly on Neenah Solar White cardstock, and then I went back and colored them in with Copic Markers (B000, B00, RV02, RV10, BV0000, BV01, W7, W9, E15, E25, E27, Y15, YR23) before cutting them out.  I then stamped my sentiment in the top left hand corner with Versafine Ink.  I love this ink for all of my sentiments, as it always reveals a crisp and clean look.  While this was drying I die cut the “snowy” hill with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders die set.  Next I popped up the fairy in the snow with foam adhesive.  The other two fairies were glued in the air with Tombow Mono-Multi Liquid Glue.  They were all three finished with some Nuvo Glitter Drops: White Blizzard on their wings.  Lastly I glued some scrap dots I had in my stash to act as falling snow.
