Gift of Joy

Written by Monica Edwards. Posted in 3D, Anything But a Card

Hi everyone! Just ten more day until Christmas!! Does anyone have anything different planned this year?  We decided to have a huge White Elephant Exchange which includes the kids and some are only 3 years old this should be fun to explain right?!!  Each kid will even have to go to a store and pick out a gift they want to “give” away.

Today I made a tag using  Some Odd Girl.  She is holding a gift and the sentiment was perfect I thought for tags for the gifts the kids had.  She is an older stamp, but I really love everything about this stamp.  It was just perfect!!

Holiday Treats!!

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in 3D, Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi everyone it’s Holly here and today I have some super cute gift card envelopes.. and I’m using those super adorable Reindeer from the Mama Elephant Reindeer Games set and a few other new critters!

I started with the new Mama Elephant Creative Cuts Lucky Envelope and die cut several of them from Blue and Red card stock and then I assembled them with Scor-Tape. I stamped the reindeer images onto some White card stock using some Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then I colored them in with Copics. I die cut the reindeer using the Reindeer Games die set.

I added a snow bank using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside border dies and some White card stock.. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Mama Elephant Cozy Christmas Set. I adhered the Reindeer with some dimensional adhesive. These are perfect for gift cards or my Grandfather is using these for cash for the little kids in our family. I wanted to make a few more to have on hand for the New Year that I can give out gift cards in for those I might miss seeing over Christmas. So, I used the new Lunar Animals stamp set & coordinating die set,  and the Lunar extras stamp set & coordinating dies.

I love that Lucky Cat image.. it’s so cute and 2016 is the year of the Monkey! I used some Gold and Gold Glittered embossing powders for my details and I colored the images with Copics as well and used their coordinating Die cuts. I also added some Gold Wink of Stella to the Coin and collar on the cat and the reindeer.

Copics used:

Reindeer ~ E53, E25, E34, E27, R17 & Y21. Cat ~ C0, C1, Y06, Y09, R12, R17, Y26 & Y21. Monkey~ E53, E25, E34, E27,R12, Y26 & Y21

Warm Hearts

Written by Monica Edwards. Posted in 3D, Anything But a Card

Hi everyone! Christmas is fast approaching and I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving!  Nothing like a belly fully of turkey and pumpkin pie right?!!  Now to work off those extra pounds so I can have room for the holiday cookies!  Today I am sharing a gift idea I did for my nephews class.  He wanted to give everyone something for Christmas so we came up with these snowmen in a jar!

monica edwards paper smooches

I used Paper Smooches “Warm Hearts” stamp set which was absolutely perfect for the occasion.  I used this as the decor on the front of the jars basically to indicate what was inside of it… if that makes sense?!!

easy gift idea

I fussy cut the snowman out and make tags for each jar and since this was an easy image to color I actually let my nephew help me color them in.  He enjoyed that part the best I think!  Stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink on my Xpress-IT paper.  I used Copics: YR04, YR09, and E25 to color the noses.  The heart is R32, R32, R35 and R37.
