Fluttering By….

Written by Tracy Valure. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hey there! Tracy here today. I have had one crazy week, let me tell you!! Thank goodness I had a very productive weekend, in terms of crafting…housework…eh, not so much!!  I had an ear infection this week and I am still battling a cold. This has NOT been my year…I seem to be catching every bug out there. Then to top it all off I was getting ready for work and fell, hard. I was by myself and scared to get up to get to the door to call for somebody (they were sleeping). But I did manage….husband came in and immediately decided by the “scene” we needed to get to the ER. So we did, needless to say I have a stitched up shin and a bum knee. So I have been hobbling around. Hoping it all eases up soon so I can get one with things…like cleaning my house!! So enough about me…..

Today I am sharing with you a card created with one of the new Doodle Garden lines from My Favorite Things.

I also used the blueprints die from My Favorite Things.  It makes putting a card together a cinch.  The paper is from Basic Grey – it’s the Soleil 6×6 pad. A crafty friend of mine, Danielle, made that beautiful crocheted flower. It matched perfectly, so I was so happy to be able to use it.  I used Sour Lemon Bazzill Cardshoppe Cardstock for the base of my card.

The doodle garden image is colored with Copic Markers. I also did some deep shading with a pastel pencil.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Bee Day

Written by Tracy Valure. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Good morning! Tracy here today.  Hope you have been having a great week so far. I am eagerly anticipating the weekend, as usual.  Hoping for a nice, laid back weekend. Maybe if the weather is good I can hit the beach even.

Beeday

The stamp I have used today is from Tiddly Inks and it is called Happy Bee Day!  It just screams spring to me. Love it.  The paper is from Echo Park, it’s called For the Record. I added some Princess Pink – Bakers twine and topped it with the sentiment that is included with the set.  I also added a bit of yellow distressing around the edges of my paper.

For the Happy Bee Day image, I colored it with copic markers. I did add some dark shading with a pastel pencil. The copic colors used are:

Body: Y11, Y15, E33 (brown pastel pencil)
Hair: E21, E23, E25, E29
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E13

MFT Box – 3-D Thursday

Written by Tracy Valure. Posted in 3D, Eye Candy (Projects)

Good morning! Tracy here for 3-D thursday. My baby girl is not so much of a baby anymore. Gone are the princesses in her room so I thought I would make her a new trinket box to keep her hair ties in or whatever she wants to keep in it.

I used a stamp from the new Doodle Garden line from My Favorite Things. This one is called “FAR OUT“.

I used a cheap wood box that you can find at a craft store. I then used my Mister Huey’s color mist  (water cooler)to color the box. I just sprayed it on and used a paper towel to rub it in.  A little goes a long way.

I used copic markers for the coloring of the image and did some shading with prisma color pencils. Love that effect.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Eggstra-special

Written by Tracy Valure. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Get to Know the DT

Good morning! Tracy here today. It’s freebie week, I know you are just dying to hear more about me and my travels….but today I am going to share with you an Easter Card I made. It’s too cute not to share! 🙂

Easterbella

It’s no secret that I have a thing for the Uptown girls from Stamping Bella….for real! They are just too cute with their long, skinny legs. With each release I get totally excited because they keep getting cuter and cuter.

I used Bunny with her Daffodil today along with paper from Simple Stories – Fabulous collection.

Do you have any plans for Easter? My hubby will be away this year, he is so bummed. So my sister and I are planning a big egg hunt for the kids and then dinner afterwards.  I can’t wait!  They are getting older, but it’s still fun.

Have a great holiday weekend,

Tracy Valure
