You may play along with other challenges, but excessive challenge pile-ons (more than 10) will result in disqualification for “The Prize”. The Linky will close on Sunday, August 7th at 12 pm CST. The winner will have TWO weeks to claim their prize. *International winners will be responsible for shipping costs if they choose to claim their prize*  Check out what Keeway created using this week’s Challenge theme below!

Hello! It’s Keeway today sharing a card featuring the Lawn Fawn Dad+Me stamps. I was immediately drawn to this set when I first saw it in Lawn Fawn’s release previews because the classic funny nose glasses was just too cute and hilarious. With this stamp set I wanted to create something like a family portrait with the moose and did so by stamping the little ones twice and the adult moose twice: once as is, and once without the antlers. I took out the antlers by wiping off the ink with a Q-tip.

I then colored my moose family with copic colors. The females were colored with E00, E02, and R20. And the males were colored with E11, E13, and R21.

The background was also fun to create. The background is creaetd with the WPlus9 Tree Border Die, which I’m absolutely in love with! They are so unique. The die set comes with a few extra stitched tree pieces that allows you to add a little more depth. And after I die cut these pieces, I wanted to add just a tad more shading with my copic markers. Here I used G00, G02, and G03, but your colors are going to be dependent on the color of your cardstock. I also used the same colors to add some grassy textures to my hills.

For the sky, I created a soft blended morning with distress inks. I used Broken China, Cracked Pistachio, and Scattered Straw. I then stamped my sentiment from an older Mama Elephant stamp set, Sunday Sentiments, in black ink and finished off my entire scene by framing it in white.

Now my moose family portrait is done! Hope you enjoy today’s inspiration!

Party Time

Good day! It’s Keeway today, and I’m sharing a fun and colorful card with the adorable Mama Elephant Monster Jam stamp set. How fun are these little monsters?! They are just perfect to images to get a little creative with some colorful experiments.

My monsters are colored in copic markers, and it helps to understand the copic numbering system to help you get a nice ombre blend. The monsters in my card are blended with colors R20, R00, YR01, and Y02. I am blending from colors of red, yellow-red, to yellow. If you wanted to blend in the blue-greens, you can use B02, B00, BG00, and G00.

My background is also very vibrant and colorful. I created this tie dye background with watercolors. I posted a mini Instagram video of me making this background a few days ago. Once the background was dry, I die cut varying sizes of pierced circles and cross stitched rectangle to create the layout of my card. The watercolor panel is lifted with craft foam and the monsters are arranged in whimsical fashion within the circles with crystal sequins. And last but not least, the sentiment was stamped in the right circle.

You’re the Beary Best

Good morning! It’s Keeway and today I’m sharing a sweet card with the Mama Elephant Cub Cuddles stamp set. I absolutely love these bears and was so happy to see Mama Elephant create this second set for them. These bears have the cutest expressions and make very sweet scenes!

So let’s get started on the details! As with any of my projects, I always stamp and color first. These bears are stamped with onyx black Versafine ink (copic friendly), and then I color it in with copic colors. These bears are colored with E00, E02, R20, and RV10. Soft colors for a sweet scene! The little birds were colored with B00 and R20.

Next, I worked on the background by using ink blending. I made my own mask out of cloud border dies and used it to build the skies. I used a very light hand to blend on Mermaid Lagoon distress ink. Once that was done, I cut out my background piece with a stitched circle, then again with the cloud border die. For the grass, I blended on Mowed Lawn distress ink, and then cut it out with grassy hills dies and the cloud border die. Now all my pieces are done and my scene can be glued together.

I am quite addicted to splatter, so I added some grey splatter to my A2 card base. I also heat embossed my sentiment in white onto a matching grey cardstock and cut on the angled shape with my paper trimmer. And as a finishing touch I added a little twine bow to the end of it. And that finishes up my card!

See you next time!

You’re Perfect

Good morning! It’s Keeway, and thank you for joining me in my first DT post for MarkerPop! I’m excited to be here. Today, I am sharing with you a beautiful card that’s just perfect to send to any one to brighten their day. This card features the gorgeous Freehand Florals from Wplus9 that is just so fun to stamp and play with.

I stamped my roses in Altenew inks: Frosty Pink, Coral Berry, and Ruby Red. These are all part of the Altenew Red Cosmos Ink Set. But there’s more. After stamping these roses, I wanted to create even more depth and layers in the roses so I also added some additional strokes of color with copic markers. Here I used R81 and R83. For the leaves, I added some shading with G12, G00, and G000. Not only does adding copic coloring add depth to solid stamping, it also fills in any spots that I didn’t stamp perfectly. A great way to make some corrections!

I created a dark blue watercolor wash horizontally across the center of my background piece. I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi as my watercolor medium. And once it is dry, I heat embossed my sentiment in white. The sentiment is from WPlus9 That is All. After all is done, I die cut my watercolor piece out with some  stitched frames from Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles.
