New Design Team!
Hello Crafters!
It’s Valerie here today, and I am so excited to introduce our new Design Team for the next 6 months! We have 4 AMAZING new designers and 3 that are staying on from our previous team (1 of them is me 😉 ); it’s going to be GREAT!
Now, onto the new design team! This is an awesome group of ladies, and different styles & project specialties!
These are the 4 new Artists we have joining us at MarkerPop!:
Heidi (Cards)
Hello! My name is Heidi Criswell. I live in Montezuma, Iowa with husband who is a farmer, my little boy and my two furry babies. I started card making in the summer of 2012 and quickly became addicted. My style of crafting is whimsy and colorful, however I love CAS. Also at this time, I’m perusing my counselor degree. I enjoy my free time crafting, and in the warm months I like to take my son and my puppy for long walks by the lakes. I’m an avid animal lover!
Laura (Cards)
Hey there! My name is Laura Corkill. I am forty-something years young and have lived in AZ for 18 years now (originally from Wisconsin). I have 4 amazing children and 8 adorable grandchildren who are also so amazing and my pride and joy. I have 2 dogs and 3 chickens. My husband and I own our own auto painting business and so when I’m not crafting at home, I take my project to the office with me and color between phone calls and book keeping. I’ve been a crafter forever, a paper crafter since 1999 and a blogger since March of 2012. I don’t know that I have a crafting style as I just go with whatever strikes my fancy at that particular moment. I love to try new techniques and mediums to embellish my projects but when it comes right down to it, for me its all about the markers and dies.
Carisa (Colorist)
I’m Carisa, and I’m blessed to be married to my high school sweetheart and mama to our 4 awesome kiddos; you’ll find me stealing tiny moments to myself in the craft room whenever I can. I first started coloring with Copic markers in 2009. I love seeing a black and white stamped image come to life as I color. In 2014, I ventured into water color and I love the freedom it has given me to let go of perfection and embrace my own style! I also enjoy mixed media and art journaling which pushes me outside the box to try new techniques. However, making cards and coloring stamped images will always be my first love! I am thrilled to be sharing the joy of coloring with all of you as part of the MarkerPop! team.
Annette (Cards)
Hi, my name is Annette Allen and I am so excited to be a designer for MarkerPop. I live in Colorado and am a stay at home wife who loves the Lord. I have been crafting since 1997 and I do not just make cards but also enjoy sewing, scrapbooking and various other crafts. I think if it involves glue and getting messy you could say that I love it. I have been married for almost 20 years. My passion is crafting and I love being inspired and also inspiring others. Thank you for having me and I look forward to the many new friendships. Monica (3D Projects)
My name is Monica Edwards and I am the mother of 2 older children. My son Andre is 24 and daughter Mariah is 20. I currently work at the Kennedy Space Center and love it. I have been crafting since I can remember. I enjoy anything that has do with crafts. I consider myself to be an all around crafter. I love doing altered art pieces hence that is how I came up with Scraps2treasure because to me nothing is truly scraps. I love to do vintage, whimsy, fun and bright, mixed media. My ultimate goal is to inspire others to create and to encourage to love the companies I represent through my work. So my main goal here with Marker Pop is to inspire everyone to become a Marker Pop fan as well!! What’s not to love they have it all.
Marie (Colorist)
Marie here and I am a card making, Copic coloring fool! I love everything about it and try every new technique I can find. Whenever I have some time available, I can be found in my craft room searching the web for new techniques! I currently serve on six Design Teams and love every minute of it! I have discovered that the world of crafters is one of the most supportive, fun and delightful group of men and women I have ever met. I am proud to call them “friends”. I also work as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department as a Patient Care Coordinator. I live in California near the beautiful Sierra Foothills. I love to read mystery books, work with the art of paper quilling and listen to music. I love animals and am the proud mother of two fur babies and 3 feather babies. I absolutely love spending time with my wonderful and supportive family and friends.
Valerie (Cards/ DT Coordinator)
My name is Valerie, and I LOVE being a part of the MarkerPop! design team! My wonderful husband & I have 4 amazing kids (ages 13-17), and 3 sweet little doggies. We live just north of Chicago, Illinois, in the good ole U.S.of A! I’ve been scrapping since I was a child, and I discovered cardmaking 6 years ago when I started my job at a craft store, which changed my entire focus of crafting! I’m also a substitute teacher, and when I’m not busy working or being swallowed up by my family, you can always find me in my craft room enjoying the glorious world of creativity! I’ve been blogging since January, 2012, and it has turned into such a great journey for me, as I’ve met amazing people and made so many wonderful new friends!
OK! Impressive, huh?! We’ll also be having Guest Designers join us occassionally, and an occasional blog hop with companies we carry, and those will both be a huge treat!
