Flowers for You
Hi everyone! It’s Angie and I’m back with my second (and final) post as Markerpop’s April Guest Designer. This week I colored up the Wild Rose Stuidos Flowers for You bears. It’s such a precious little image 🙂 I colored it up using my Copic markers a few times and ended up making two cards that I’m sharing with you today.
After coloring the image with my Copics, I pulled out Crate Paper’s Farmhouse paper pad. I pulled out some of my favorite pieces and went to work assembling the card. I cut the papers down using some templates from Kiwi Lane Designs and inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and a sponge dauber. I matted the image on one of the patterned pieces and used foam adhesive to adhere it. I went back and colored the flower centers with a Buttermilk Spica pen
For the second card, I took the image after just the bears were colored and added some texture. To add the texture, I took a scrap of an old wash cloth and poured some of the Copic Colorless Blender solution onto it. Then I pressed the damp cloth gently onto the image to make him look a little furry.
The texture isn’t quite as noticable on the baby bear with its light fur, but here’s a side by side of the mama bear:
I had a blast as April’s guest designer. I hope you enjoyed my card shares. Please stop by my blog to keep up with my future creations.
Angie
