Ever make a card you weren’t totally sold on?! Well, today’s card is “that” card for me! LOL, Valerie here today, and this idea looked SO nice in my mind, but it just didn’t come together as imagined. Oh well; we can’t make ALL perfect cards, can we?!

I’m waiting on the newest My Favorite Things goodies that I ordered, so I was in a MFT mood. Hence, I pulled out a couple of older sets from My Favorite Things – the Roughing It stamp set and it’s coordinating Die-namics die set.

The background sky was created with Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Festive Berries, Ripe Persimmon, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Evergreen Bough, Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, and an Ink Blending Tool.

To give dimension to the die cut pieces, I used Peeled Paint Distress Ink on the edges of the die cut trees, and Stormy Sky Distress Ink on the edges of the die cut tent.

The colored trees are stamped with Lawn Fawn’s Black Licorice Ink onto X-Press It Blending Card paper and colored with Copic Sketch markers:

The polka-dot grey base paper is from Lawn Fawn’s 6×6 Let’s Polka paper pad; it is die cut with the largest die from the Lawn Fawn’s Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables die set.

The grass is die cut from Lawn Fawn’s Grassy Border die. The bling is from Doodlebug’s Sprinkles Bright Glitter Assortment. I added Zig Clear Wink of Stella to the fire and fire logs.

First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR! This is Valerie, and I hope your New Year’s Eve was full of everything you hoped for; personally, mine consisted of watching the ball drop from my TV with the kids, Ryan Seacrest, and Taylor Swift! 

I’m starting my 2015 off with some sweetness from Mama Elephant! 

This is an A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) sized card. The Mama Elephant products I used are:

• Up and Away Clear Stamp Set
• Up and Away Creative Cuts
• Cityscape Creative Cuts
• Sightseeing Clear Stamp Set
• Creative Cuts – Basic Set

I also used 2 Lawn Fawn products: Spring Showers Die Cut Set and Large Stitched Rectangular Stackables Dies.

I stamped the images onto  X-Press It Blending Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and colored with Copic Sketch Markers (I store my precious markers in the Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Pens and Markers Storage System):

• Bear: E3, E25, E27 / E30, E31 / R20
• Umbrella: YR21, YR23, YR24, YR27 / R02, R05, R08, R29 / E09

All the patterned papers come from the My Mind’s Eye Sky’s the Limit 6″x6″ paper pad.

The sequins are all Pretty Pink Posh:

• Pumpkin 4mm Cupped
• Pumpkin 6mm Cupped
• Cornflower 6mm Cupped
• Sparkling Clear 4mm Cupped
• Sparkling Clear 6mm Cupped

The clouds are cut from a basic white piece of white foam sheet! Then I painted them with my Clear Zig Wink of Stella Brush Glitter Pen Marker for some sparkle.

The tape adhesive I use is the Crafter’s Companion Extra Strong Permanent Tape Runner.

I also used (and love!) my 2 Apple Pie Memories Stamping Blocks with Finger Grips: the 3.5″ Round and the 2.5″ Round.

Hello Crafters! It’s Valerie here today, and I  have a set of 4 holiday cards using Paper Smooches stamps & dies, and Pretty Pink Posh dies & sequins! All the cute papers are Doodlebug’s 6×6 Santa Express collection.

The main focus is the sentiment from the Paper Smooches Christmas Words 2 dies. The wreath comes from the Paper Smooches Promenade stamp set.

The arc cuts on the tops and bottom paper pieces are using a die from the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 1 die set. The stitch die lines on the tops and bottoms of the cards are from the Paper Smooches Stitched die set.

The wreath’s are stamped on X-Press It Blending Card Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then colored with Copic Sketch markers:

• Wreath: G5, G07, G29
• Red Bow: R24, R29
• Yellow Bow: Y17

The Pretty Pink Posh sequins are the 6mm Sparkling Clear Cupped and 4mm Sparkling Clear Cupped.

The wreaths are painted with my Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter brush, and then coated with Glossy Accents.

The card base is Bazzil Classic Smooth cardstock. The adhesive I use is the Crafter’s Compnion tape runner.

Hi Crafters! It’s Valerie here today, and  I have a Shaker Thank You Card combining 2 brands: Lawn Fawn, and the newest line at Markerpop: Winnie & Walter!

The sentiment comes from Winnie & Walter’s clear stamp set, The Big, the Bold, and You. I stamped it in Memento Rich Cocoa dye ink, painted it with my Zig Clear Wink of Stella glitter pen, and then heat embossed over it with clear embossing powder.

All of the other stamped images are from an older Lawn Fawn set, Critters in the Forest and the matching die set. I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink onto X-Press It Blending Card paper, and colored them with Copic Sketch markers:

• Tree: G21, G24, G28, G29 / Trunk: E44, E47, E49
• Fox: E08, E09, E18 / Tail  Tip: E50, E53 / Nose: R22
• Dragonflies: Body: BV04 / Wings: BG0000
• Mushrooms: YG93, YG95, YG97 / Spots: E5, E57, E59
• Bird: V01, Vo5, V06 / Beak: YR09

The patterned papers are all from the Heidi Swapp 6×6 Mixed Company collection. The rectangle window shapes are diecut wth Die-namics Stitched Rectangle Stax dies.

The sequins are all Pretty Pink Posh: 4mm Cupped Sparkling Clear, 6mm Cupped Orchid, and Mixed Flat Nature. The adhesive I use is the Crafter’s Companion tape runner.
