Marie designed this lovely card for today’s Challenge using a gorgeous rubber stamp set by Whiff of Joy called Spirit of Nature.

The image is stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto Neenah Natural premium cardstock (also the card base), and colored with Copic markers: E91, E93, E95, G21, G24.

The patterned paper is  from the Sherri Baldy 6″x6″ Paper Pad: Basic Vintage. The pink cardstock is Cotton Candy Bazzill cardstock. And Marie uses the Scotch ATG adhesive and refills.

‘Tis the Season Snowman

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Tips & Tricks

Hi, everyone!  Kelli here today with a Christmas card to share with you!  I also want to share a little tutorial of how I colored the snowman at the end of this post.  For the main image I used the sweet Whiff of Joy – Cute Snowman stamp.  I stamped him with Memento – Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It paper and colored him with Copics:
snowman body- B32, B21, W1
snowman arms- E59, E57
snowman nose- YR18, YR16, YR14
hat- C9, C7, C6, C5, C4
scarf- G28, G24 G21, R39, R29, R27, R24, E55, E31, E51
cardinal- R39, R29, R27, R24, E55, E31, E51
snow- B32, B21, B000, B0000

The card base is the Bazzill Card Shoppe – Chocolate Malt.  The thickness of this card stock is great and perfect for card bases!  The background, scalloped edge, main image, and sentiment were all cut out using the My Favorite Things – Blueprints 6 die set.  The patterned paper is from the Echo Park – Reflections Christmas 6×6 paper pad.  The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things – Starry Christmas stamp set.

The twine is from craftkin.com and is in the color Red Sunset.

To finish everything off I added some white gel pen stitch lines to the card base, some glitter to the snow and some Glossy Accents to the snowman’s nose.

To color the snowman I first made little dots around the outside edges using my darkest color, B32.  You will want to have fewest of the darkest dots.

Next I added some dots in B21 in between the other dots and I also brought them out a little further into the center.

Finally I added quite a few dots in W1.  This is the lightest color so you can add more of them and don’t have to be as careful.  I brought these out even further into the center.

You can also color snowmen the traditional way where you blend the colors, but this is a fun alternative!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂

Happy Holidays Snowman

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi, everyone!  Kelli here today with a… HOLIDAY CARD for you!  I am so eager to get into holiday card making that I couldn’t help myself.  As soon as I got my hands on this Cute Snowman stamp by Whiff of Joy I knew I had to make something with him!
He’s stamped in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics:
hat: C9, C7, C6, C5, C4
scarf: B04, B02, B01, B26, B24, B23, B37, B34, B99, B97, B95
cardinal: R29, R27, R24
snowman and snow: B00, B000, B0000, 0, YR18, YR15, YR14

All the patterned paper is from the Echo Park – Winter Park 6×6 paper pad.  It’s from last year or the year before, but there are plenty of new pads coming out.  I can’t wait to get some!  I added a doily behind the main image and tied a red bow behind it.

To finish everything off I added some Glossy Accents to the bird’s beak and the snowman’s nose and some Stickles to the snow.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂

For my project I decided to color the adorable, Whiff of Joy – Maya’s Best Friend stamp.  I stamped it in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics:
skin – E01, E00, E000, R20 for Cheeks
hair – E35, Y35, Y23, Y15, Y11
dress – GB09, BG07, BG05, BG02, BV02, BV01, BV00
hat – E57, E55, E31
shoes – C7, C5, C4, C3, C2
dog – E27, E25, E23

Copic I Heart You Girl and Dog 1

The little doily that the sentiment is on is the Cheery Lynn Designs – French Pastry Tiny Doily die.  This thing is adorable and the die cuts extremely well.  I love all the little detail.  For the ‘i heart you’ sentiment I used the Lawn Fawn – Critters on the Savanna set.  I inked up only the ‘i’ and ‘you’ in the ‘i’m wild about you’ stamp.  I find that I do this a lot if I want a certain font or certain sized letters.  The heart is the smallest die from the Lawn Fawn – Hearts die set.

To finish everything off I added some Glossy Accents to her necklace and bracelet, the dog’s tag and the purple heart.
