You Have Fabulous Style…

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Uncategorized

Hi!  It is Lisa here with you today and I have a sweet little camping scene to share with you today that I have created with the Avery Elle Glamper Campers Stamp Set, Zig® Clean Color Real Brush Markers, Gansai Tambi Watercolors, and My Favorite Things Blueprints 31.  Take a peek…

Clean Color Real Brush Markers Used: Light Green, Yellow Green, Mustard, Yellow, Pink Fl. Pink, Light Carmine, Wine Red, Light Violet, Lilac, Light Blue, Cobalt Blue, and Black.

For all of the stamped images I used the Clean Colors, because of their vibrant and fun colors.  Plus I love that you can use them with or without water.  For the banner I simple colored and for most everything else I used them as a watercolor.  Now for the background I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolor Set because I had a large area to cover, and I am just not very good using the markers on larger areas.  I also like being able to add layers of colors when creating backgrounds and the Gansai Tambi are just easier for me to do this.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you are getting a chance to join us in our watercoloring challenges this month!  They are located on the right side of the blog!

Happy Crafting!

Hello everyone.. it’s Holly here today with another watercolor card and process video. I’m using the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely  set and some Gansai Tambi Watercolors.

I started by stamping the flower image onto a piece of watercolor paper and then I heat embossed it using some White embossing powder. Then I taped the image panel to a board using some painter’s tape. I added some clear water around the image and then I dropped in some Light Blue using a wet paintbrush. This is the wet on wet technique. Then I heat set the area with my heat tool. I repeated the same process with the rest of the image. Adding in color within each embossed area and drying in between layers.

Once the image was dry I trimmed the panel to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and added it to a top folding Black card base. I stamped Hello from the same set and heat embossed it onto a piece of Black card stock using White embossing powder and trimmed it out with my large scissors. I adhered it to the image with some foam tape. This is a great image to practice watercolor with, it has lots of great large images and it can be embossed.

You can see more details on how I created this in the video below…

Happy Easter!!

Hello everyone.. I hope you all had a great Holiday Weekend! It’s Holly here today with a new video and a fun shaker card. Im using the new set from Neat & Tangled called Cottontail Cuties and the coordinating dies.

I created the tags using the Blueprints Tag Builder #6 set from My Favorite Things. The background in the tag is some of the new Doodlebug Spring Things pattern paper. The center of the shaker is created with an MFT Shaker Pouch. I added some sequins and seed Beads from my stash. The image is stamped onto some Tim Holtz watercolor paper using the Mini Misti in VersaFine Black ink and heat embossed in Clear embossing powder.

I colored the image in with Distress markers and a Damp paintbrush. I used the following colors for the image: Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, Pumice Stone, Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose & Rusty Hinge. Once the image was dry I die cut it with the coordinating dies and then I adhered it to the front of the shaker with some liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment onto some Neenah Solar White using VersaFine Black ink. I attached the tag with some Twine. This is perfect for a Basket Tag or to add to a gift.

Check out the video below for more details on how I created this card.

Have a great week!

Welcome Baby!!

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Uncategorized

Hi everyone.. Are you ready for a new week full of great projects from the Design Team? Today I have an adorable Baby card using a Stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs. If you aren’t familiar with this line, it’s loaded with cute fun images that are great for coloring.

I used the “A Blessing from Heaven” stamp to create a set of Baby cards for a gift. I stamped the image onto some Watercolor Card Stock using VersaFine Onyx Black ink. Then I colored the image in using the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor set.  I used no. 47, 20, 61, 34, 43, 44, 50 ,46 & No. 10 . I mixed a few of the colors together to create custom colors. I like to use the plastic insert that comes in the box as a palette.

After the panels were dry I re-stamped the image using the Mini Misti so the outline would be crisp. Then I die cut the panel with a Large Stitched Rectangle Die.  Then I added some foam tape to the back of each panel and adhered them to a Standard A2 Card base. The card bases are a mix of Yellow and Blue cardstocks. I added an envelope for each card and packaged them up. The inside is blank so the Mommy to be can use them as Thank You cards or a note card.
