Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Happy Tuesday everyone… It’s Holly here today with a new Video on this Cute card featuring the Tropical Squidgies set from Stampingbella.

I die cut a piece of Doodlebug Fun in the Sun paper using the MFT Blueprints #15. Then I adhered the piece to a top folding A2 size Turquoise card. I stamped each of the images from the Tropical Squidgies set onto some X-Press it Blending cardstock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. Then I colored each of the images with Copics in the following colors:

Skin: E000, E01, E11, E71 & E93 Coconut Girl Hair: E42, E44 & E47 Pineapple Girl Hair: E44, E42 & YR31 Pineapple Top: YG93, YG95, YG97 & YG23 Flower, Sunglasses and Flip Flops : RV14 & RV17 Sunglasses and Flip Flops: BG11 & BG23 Coconut: YR24, E35 & E37 Pineapple: YR21, YR23 & YR24 Center of Sunglasses:C6, C4 & C2 Ground: W0, W2 & W4 Sky: BG0000 & BG000

I die cut the large and small Polaroid shapes from the Mamma Elephant Polaroid Fun set from some additional coordinating Pattern papers and then I added the colored image behind them and adhered them to the card front. I stamped the sentiment onto some Neenah Solar White cardstock and then I trimmed each of the words out and used them along the bottom of the cards. I added some Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen in Clear to parts of the images.

You can see more details on how I created this card in the video below….

Matching Colors with Copics!!

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Happy Friday everyone… Are you ready for the weekend? it’s Holly here today and we are celebrating Copic Marker’s 30th Birthday all month long. Today I have a card and a short tutorial for you on using Copic Color Charts to color match your images and cardstock.

I colored in this super cute The Stuffie Gang Stamp from Stampingbella using my Copic Markers. If you love coloring with your Copics and like to have a coloring guide these stamps are great for that. They have a full color photo on the front of the package which is great for a guide. Another great way to figure out what colors to use is a Color Chart. Copic has a great Blank Color Chart on their site that you can color in with your Copics, so you have an extact match. I use the color chart to match pattern papers I want to use with my project with the colors I will use on the images.

On today’s project I started with the pattern paper and used the chart to find the colors that matched and then based my Copic choices on those colors. Here I have a piece of the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Petite Fall 6×6 paper. I’m matching the Orange color in the paper using my Hex Chart. You can use any chart that you hand colored to find your colors. I’m going to use YR12 as my lightest orange color. You can do this with a Colored image on a stamp package too. You will have a general guideline of what colors they may have used or are recommending.

For the Brown colors I’m going to use E44 and it’s coordinating colors.

Once I knew which colors I needed to match the paper I started coloring the image. The image is stamped onto some Copic X-Press it blending card stock using Lawn Fawn’s Jet Black Ink. I colored the image in and then I added a Frame from the pattern paper that I die cut with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Frames. Then I adhered the panel to a top folding card base.

I stamped the sentiment onto some White card stock and die cut it using the Blueprints #27 Die-namic from MFT. Then I cut an additional banner from some the coordinating patter paper and added that as well. Super cute, I need to get more of these out of my stash and color this month!

I used the following Copics:

YR12, YR15, YR18, E40, E42, E44, E47, E49, Y21 & YR23. YG11, YG13, YG17, E50, E53, W3, E70, E71, E74, E77. C6, C9, 100, BG0000, BV20, C1, C4, BG11, BG45, BG49.

Be sure to head over to this post so you can find out how you can enter to WIN one of our Copic Marker 30th Birthday Celebration Prizes valued at $300!!!

Hi everyone it’s Holly here.. I hope you are all having a great week so far. Today I have a fun card using an adorable image from Stampingbella. How cute are these chicks? They are from a 3 piece set called Iron Chef Chicks.

I stamped the image onto a piece of Neenah Solar White card stock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then I colored the chicks in with Copics. After the image was colored I added some Clear, Red, & Green Wink of Stella for a bit of Shimmer.

I die cut the image panel and a Piece of Lawn Fawn Let’s Polka pattern paper using the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle dies from MFT. Then I added the panels to a piece of White card stock folded into a stand A2 size card. For a different take on the sentiment I die cut the photo frame from the Mama Elephant Creative Cuts Polaroid Fun from some White and Black card stock. I adhered them together offset a little and stamped the sentiment from the Iron Chef Chicks set using some Lawn Fawn Licorice ink. I adhered it over the image panel using some dimensional adhesive. I also added a few little banners die cut from the same pattern paper and the tiny banner in the Polaroid fun die set.

I used the following Copics to color the image:
