Hi, everyone!  It’s Kelli here today with a beachy card to share with you!  The little girl and bucket with the crab are from the Tiddly Inks – Beach Babe stamp set.  I stamped them in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics:

BG08, BG07, BG05, BG02
BV02, BV01, BV00
RV14, RV13, RV11
YR18, YR15, YR12
Y35, Y15, Y11

For the background on the yellow base I used the little border stamp from the Tiddly Inks set and repeated it until the base was covered.  The clouds were die cut out of felt from the SP & Company – Sunshine Emma Die Set.  The sun was cut from the same set but stamped first with the Sunshine Emma stamp set.

The patterned paper that I used for the sky is from the Pebbles – Seen & Noted 6×6 paper pad.  This is still one of my favorite paper pads!

For the sand I sprayed some kraft card stock with the Art Anthology – Focus spray.  I really like how this looks!  To finish everything off I added some Glossy Accents to the crab and the center of the flower in her hair and added some gel pen stitch lines around the pink layer.

Instant Color Window Slider – Part 2

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello again everyone!  Kelli here with part 2 of the instant color window slider card, click HERE for part 1.  I really didn’t know what to name it, but that sounds good.  😉  I used the adorable Sweet Pea Stamps – Flowers on the Beach for the main image and stamped her in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink (on the card stock) and colored her with Copics:
E29, E59, E57, E55
E02, E01, E00, E000
G28, G07, G05, G03, G02
R29, R27, R24, R22
Y35, YR18, YR16, YR15
RV14, RV13, RV11
E31, E53, E51
B32, B0000

The patterned paper is from the Echo Park – For the Record 2 Tailored 6×6 paper pad.  I love how the little bit of  washi tape peeking out coordinates really well with all the other colors and it’s the Lace Dot in Mint Green.  The button is from the Prima Wood Buttons.  I just added a little hemp twine bow to it and adhered it to the card using Glossy Accents.  That is a perfect “glue” for bigger items like that that you really want stuck down.  Last but not least, the little banner stamp and the sentiment are from SP & Company.

Here are 3 progression pictures of what it looks like as you’re pulling it out.  It’s actually pretty neat in person!

Love You a Latte

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Tips & Tricks

Hi, everyone and Happy New year!!!  It’s Kelli here today with a love notecard.  When I saw this new Latte Monkey stamp by C.C. Designs I knew I had to have it!  I love anything that has to do with animals and this little guy is adorable!  I stamped him in Memento – Tuxedo Black Ink and colored him with Copics:
E29, E27, E25, E23
E31, E21
BG18, BG15, BG13
R29, R27, R24, R22
C2, C1

All the patterned paper that I used is from the Seen & Noted 6×6 paper pad by Pebbles.  I am in LOVE with this paper pad.  I like it so much I want to get another for a backup!  Lol!  I really like all the colors and patterns, especially the speech bubble sheets that I used for the sentiment.  I cut out one of the speech bubbles and used the SP & Company – Tiny Build a Banner stamp set to stamp the sentiment.

One thing that I really like to do on cards when I don’t have a lot of embellishments on them is to add Glossy Accents.  I think it looks great and it also adds some shine and dimension as well.  It’s a quick and simple thing to do and I find myself doing it more and more on each project I make.  I took a side shot of the card so you could see the Glossy Accents on the coffee cup.

To finish everything off I added some Baker’s Twine in Green Envy towards the bottom.  I also added a little green heart with Glossy Accents to the speech bubble.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Merry Merry Christmas!

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Tips & Tricks

Hi, everyone!  It’s Kelli here today with a Christmas card that uses The Greeting Farm – Holiday Anya 2 stamp.  I stamped her in Memento – Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her with Copics:

E19, E17, E15, E13
E02, E01, E00, E000
BG09, BG07, BG05, BG02
RV14, RV13, RV11

This stamp actually comes with the little snowflake stamps that I used for the background.  I’ll explain a tip about that at the end of the post.  The sentiment is from the SP & Company – Filled with Cheer Emma stamp set.  Even though it’s hard to see in the picture, I added some Spica Glitter Pen in Clear to the bow on her dress.  I can’t seem to get enough of those pens lately because I love the subtle shimmer it gives your project in person.  I love it!

My tip for today is to cut your stamps apart!  Don’t be afraid.  🙂  I used to hate the idea of cutting my stamps apart and refused to do it.  Then I did it just once and now I can’t stop!  Clear stamps are perfect for cutting apart but you can also do it with some rubber stamps too!  The image on the left (the one on my card) came with the snowflakes close to her body and I’m pretty sure they were meant to be part of the main image.  I wanted to be able to use them separately like in the background of the card above so I cut them apart.  The image on the right (La-La Land Crafts – Present Luka) has a sentiment underneath the main image and it would be perfect for cutting apart if you wanted to use the sentiment separately!  I just haven’t cut it yet.  It will happen though, lol!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂
