Girly Girl!

Written by Michelle Pearson. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

mp 5.8.13.1

It’s Michelle here today with a *girly girl* card!  It was to be a baby card featuring the Welcome Little One sentiments….but I buried them in my studio and couldn’t come up with them …so I’ll just have to make another baby card another day! LOL!

I went with the Whimsy Stamps Ruby image and papers from the Prima Firefly Collection.

I used some embroidery around the image to frame it up pretty!

And here are the Copic Markers I used!  I will make another baby card soon…complete WITH sentiments!

Monday Inspiration: Purple Pairing

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Monday Inspiration

Hi, everyone!  Today’s Monday Inspiration theme is ‘Purple Pairing’.  Try coloring purple and pairing it with another color.  This can help you choose a color combination when you just don’t know where to start.  Sometimes I look at a stamped image and can’t decide on colors.  Choosing just purple and another color or any two colors for that matter will help you narrow it down and get to coloring!

Michelle created this adorable card using various shades of purple along with blue.  For her main image she used the Magnolia – Tilda in the Mountains stamp and colored her with Copics:
B23, B21, E00, E02, V04, V01, E35, YR23, Y21

The sentiment is from the Wild Rose Studio – Millie Baking set and the paper is from the Prima – Firefly 6×6 paper pad.

I hope today’s Monday Inspiration inspired you to pull out those purple markers and pair them with another color!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂

Instant Color Window Slider – Part 2

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello again everyone!  Kelli here with part 2 of the instant color window slider card, click HERE for part 1.  I really didn’t know what to name it, but that sounds good.  😉  I used the adorable Sweet Pea Stamps – Flowers on the Beach for the main image and stamped her in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink (on the card stock) and colored her with Copics:
E29, E59, E57, E55
E02, E01, E00, E000
G28, G07, G05, G03, G02
R29, R27, R24, R22
Y35, YR18, YR16, YR15
RV14, RV13, RV11
E31, E53, E51
B32, B0000

The patterned paper is from the Echo Park – For the Record 2 Tailored 6×6 paper pad.  I love how the little bit of  washi tape peeking out coordinates really well with all the other colors and it’s the Lace Dot in Mint Green.  The button is from the Prima Wood Buttons.  I just added a little hemp twine bow to it and adhered it to the card using Glossy Accents.  That is a perfect “glue” for bigger items like that that you really want stuck down.  Last but not least, the little banner stamp and the sentiment are from SP & Company.

Here are 3 progression pictures of what it looks like as you’re pulling it out.  It’s actually pretty neat in person!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂

Lil’ Devil

Written by Tracy Valure. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Saturday Spotlight

Hello! Tracy here today.  It’s almost Halloween, can you handle one last seasonal card!! I didn’t create as many as I usual do this year, but I do have a few. I loved the sweetness of this image!

Lil’ Devil – CC Designs

This little Devil is called Devilish Lucy from C.C. Designs. The paper is from the Serenity Collection by Bo Bunny. I used some Black hemp twine and looped it a few times. I used a punch on both sides of the image and weaved the twine in through paper. She is popped up a little with some foam squares to allow for the hemp. It’s hard to see, but the heart button is a Prima Wood Button from the Rosarian collection. It wasn’t the color I needed, so I just colored over it with my copic markers. The original was very light, pastel colors.  Did you know you could use your copics for more than coloring on paper?? Well, you can. I actually use mine to color pearls, rhinestones and sometimes ribbon!! Perfectly matches my image everytime!

Thanks for looking today and if you are going out to a Halloween Party – Have fun and be safe!!
