Ombre Technique Created With Copic Markers

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi!  It is Lisa here with you today, and I’m going to share how to create an ombre look with Copic® Markers.  An added bonus to this technique is that you get to use the chisel nib of your markers, and give the brush tips a rest…

To begin my project I started with a panel of Neenah Solar White Cardstock.  I then used a group of blue green Copic® Markers, and with the chisel end I just colored lines across the panel.  I went lightest to darkest in the middle and back out to lightest. (Colors Used: BG10, BG11, BG13, BG15, BG49)

Keep in mind that this step does not need to be neatly done as we will be diecutting the panel and most of the stripes/streaky lines will not be as visible.  Next, I die cut the background with the My Favorite Things Star Grid Cover-Up.  I then repeated these steps with my Congrats sentiment die cut from Lawn Fawn, only this time I used yellows (Y11, Y15, Y17).

Now since my background cut was very busy I die cut the congrats two more times from white cardstock to layer and add depth to my sentiment.  And here is the end result…

Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!

Purr-fect Friend

I love MFT’s new stamp & die set, Purr-fect Friends! It’s such a sweet set, and really fun to color! I used this set for today’s card.

The images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto X-Press IT paper, and colored with Copics.

The background scalloped oval is die cut using MFT’s Stitched Oval Scalloped die set, and the paper is from their Hearts & Stripes 6×6 paper pad.

My final touch was adding a few Pretty Pink Posh 4mm Cupped Fresh Mint sequins around the sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by today; have a great day, and happy crafting!

Dreaming of the Next Time

Written by jpascarella. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Happy Friday, MarkerPOP friends! How has your week been going? I have managed to sneak in some crafting time and cannot wait to show you the creations I have completed. But first, let’s move on to today’s project.

Have you seen the cute My Favorite Things’ Somebunny I Love stamp set? I fell in love with this stamp set as soon as I saw it. That sleeping bunny is super adorable!

The image is cut a few times onto white cardstock. I colored in the image using Chameleon markers. I also stamped the image onto a printed paper. The blanket part of the image is cut out and attached onto the colored image. For the background of the card, I stamped the teddy bear images with gray ink. To fill in some of the empty spaces, I stamped stars. Some of the stars are colored in with yellow. Those stars are also covered with Wink of Stella-Clear to give the stars some sparkle. The sentiment is stamped onto a printed strip of paper and attached at the top of the card. The bunny image is attached to the card using foam dots.

Be sure to check out the rest of the My Favorite Things available in the MarkerPOP store!

The following Chameleon markers were used on today’s project: YL2, YO2, NU0, NU1, NU3, BR2, BR5

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

Happy Easter!!

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Uncategorized

Hello everyone.. I hope you all had a great Holiday Weekend! It’s Holly here today with a new video and a fun shaker card. Im using the new set from Neat & Tangled called Cottontail Cuties and the coordinating dies.

I created the tags using the Blueprints Tag Builder #6 set from My Favorite Things. The background in the tag is some of the new Doodlebug Spring Things pattern paper. The center of the shaker is created with an MFT Shaker Pouch. I added some sequins and seed Beads from my stash. The image is stamped onto some Tim Holtz watercolor paper using the Mini Misti in VersaFine Black ink and heat embossed in Clear embossing powder.

I colored the image in with Distress markers and a Damp paintbrush. I used the following colors for the image: Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, Pumice Stone, Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose & Rusty Hinge. Once the image was dry I die cut it with the coordinating dies and then I adhered it to the front of the shaker with some liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment onto some Neenah Solar White using VersaFine Black ink. I attached the tag with some Twine. This is perfect for a Basket Tag or to add to a gift.

Check out the video below for more details on how I created this card.

Have a great week!
