Purr-fect Friend

Written by Valerie Ward. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

I love MFT’s new stamp & die set, Purr-fect Friends! It’s such a sweet set, and really fun to color! I used this set for today’s card.

The images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto X-Press IT paper, and colored with Copics.

The background scalloped oval is die cut using MFT’s Stitched Oval Scalloped die set, and the paper is from their Hearts & Stripes 6×6 paper pad.

My final touch was adding a few Pretty Pink Posh 4mm Cupped Fresh Mint sequins around the sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by today; have a great day, and happy crafting!

HUGS

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Tutorials, Uncategorized, Videos

Happy Tuesday everyone… It’s Holly here today and I have a new video and a Super Cute card featuring Your Next Stamp & My Favorite Things!

I started out with a piece of Neenah Solar White card stock and I die cut a panel using the Blueprints 27 die-namics from MFT. Then I die cut the Big Hugs from MFT from the center of the panel. I added a piece of pattern paper from Doodlebug’s new Spring Things 6×6 pad behind the HUGS opening. Then I added an additional piece of pattern paper from the same pack to a White Card base and adhered the sentiment panel.

I stamped some birds from the Your Next Stamp Word Critters- Gardening Birds set using Lawn Fawn’s Jet Black ink and colored them in with the following Copics. BG0000, BG10, BG11, Y17, No, N1, N3, YG01, YG03 & YG25 Then I used the coordinating die cuts to cut them out and I adhered them using foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of the pattern paper and used the banner from the Blueprint 27 set to die cut it out. I adhered it just under the HUGS with some additional foam tape. For some shimmer I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the birds and some Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Check out the vide below for more details on how I created this card.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Dino Love!

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Happy Saturday everyone.. it’s Holly here today with a cute card featuring products from MFT and Echo Park.

I started with the Prehistoric Stamp and Die set from My Favorite Things and I stamped the images onto some watercolor paper using VersaFine Black ink. Then I colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. Once they were dry I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I had this great pack of paper in my stash from Echo Park called Dino Friends. I covered a top folding card front with a piece and then I used a coordinating piece to create the Peek a boo window in the center of the card. I die cut the Kraft colored piece with Peek a Boo Wonky Windows die from My Favorite Things. I trimmed it out and added a second piece of the same pattern paper t0 the inside of the window as well. Then I added the image pieces using a tape runner. The Dinos are adhered with Foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of light Blue card stock in Walnut ink from Lawn Fawn. I die cut the banner using the MFT Blueprints #27. For an extra pop of color I added some Primary enamel dots from Doodlebug Designs.

I used the following Zig Markers to color in the images:

67 Mustard , 44 Deep Green, 65 Mild Brown, 36 Light Blue, 43 Olive Green, 40 Green, 44 Deep Green & 91 Light Gray

Thanks for stopping in today… Be sure to join us tomorrow for a new Challenge!

Monstrous Birthday!

Written by Valerie Ward. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

‘Morning, Crafters! Valerie here today! Hey, wanted to let you know that my new, facelifted blog is up & running! I hope you’ll stop by & check it out!

OK, on to my project this week! Ever want to just stamp in pretty colors and not have to color? Well these sets today are FABULOUS for that. I combined 2 My Favorite Things stamp & die sets: the Monster Love die set & coordinating Die-namics set, and the Celebrate with Cake stamp set and coordinating Die-namics set (now, AFTER I completed making the card, I was mortified to find we don’t have 3 of those 4 products in our store anymore; but I will continue with this post because the other products I used ARE in the store, and I think this is still good inspiration for those other solid image sets we DO carry!).

The images are stamped using 5 Lawn Fawn Premium Dye Ink Pads: Lobster, Fish Tank, Sunflower, Manatee, and Black Licorice. I used my wonderful Mini Misti to stamp the images nice & straight, and exactly where I wanted them; there are many wonderful Misti products to choose from now – check them out!

The black frame is created using an Avery Elle die set. And the embossed border on the inside is from Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Borders die set. Pretty Pink Posh is the name of the game for the sequins on this card; I’m featuring 3mm Sparkling Clear Cupped sequins, 11mm Silver Stars, and 4mm Silly Eyes.

Thank you for stopping by; I’m sorry some (only SOME!) of the products aren’t in the store, but I hope this was good inspiration for you anyway! Have a wonderful day!

Valerie
