Have a Magical Day..

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Tutorials, Videos

Happy Friday everyone.. It’s Holly here today with a fun Shaker card using the super cute Be a Unicorn set from Avery Elle and the Coordinating dies.

mp3

I started by die cutting a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor card stock using the Wonky Stitched Die from Avery Elle. Then I cover the piece with some Tumbled Glass Distress ink and Spritzed some water onto it and dabbed it up with a paper towel for a spotted background effect. I set that aside to dry and stamped the Unicorn images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White card stock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored them in with Copics and added some Green, Red, Clear & Gold Wink of Stella to the images.

I die cut the images with the coordinating dies and set them aside. I also die cut a single cloud from the Avery Elle Pierced Cloud Die set.  I stamped the sentiment from the Be a Unicorn set onto the top portion of the Distress panel using some VersaFine Black ink and my Misti Tool.  For the shaker portion of the card I used an Avery Elle Stamp pocket and placed the Distressed panel inside the pocket leaving space around it. Then Using the We R Memory Keepers Fuse tool I created a pocket. I left one end open and added a sequin mix.. You can use sequins, seed beads & glitter to create your own custom mix. Then I sealed the end shut and trimmed the pocket out.

I created a White Card base and adhered the shaker panel using some strong Doubled Sided adhesive. I decided to use some Glue dots to adhere the Unicorns and images to the front of the shaker so they would stay securely attached.  I used the following Copics for my images:

Rainbow: R14, R27, R29, Y17,YR04,YR07, Y11,Y13, Y18, YG11,YG03, YG17, B00, B02 & B05 Clouds: C0 & C1 Unicorn: C0, C1, C3, C4, C6, 0, R20, R21, R22, Y11, Y13 & Y18

This is a really fun set.. Check out the video below for more details on how I created this card.

Birthday Bear Hugs!

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Tutorials, Videos

Hi everyone… Happy Friday!! It’s Holly here today with a fun card and a video.. I’m using some new products from My Favorite Things and the popular Distress Crayons from Tim Holtz.

mp2

I started out with a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor card stock and using the Wonky Chevron stencil from MFT and some Ranger White Embossing paste I created a background. Once that was dry I added some Distress crayon in Twisted Citron and Mermaid Lagoon over the dried paste and using a wet fingertip I spread the color around over the embossed area.

mp1

I die cut the watercolor panel with the Largest Stitched Wonky die from MFT and then I added some Foam adhesive to the back and adhered it to a Kraft colored top folding card base. I stamped the images from the Forest Friends set from MFT onto some White card stock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them in with Copics. Then I cut them out using the coordinating dies and my Big Shot.

mp3

I adhered the trees and the bear using some Tombow Mono Multi Glue and Foam tape. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of White card stock using some VersaFine Black ink and die cut it using the new Blueprints 27 from MFT. I adhered the sentiment with some additional foam tape as well. For a touch of sparkle I added a few of the Mixed Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I used the following Copics to color the images:

Bear: E34, E37, E47 & E49 Trees: G03, G07 & G28 Bear Ears inside: R20
