Sweet Milton ~

Written by Ash. Posted in Uncategorized

Hiya there, iCopic friends!  Alyssa here with another little sweetie from the Wild Rose Studio line of stamps.  I seriously think that these little guys are my new favorites!  Each little character is so darling!  Just wait till you get to meet Pickle!
Since the iCopic Weekly Challenge #42 is coloring fur, I have a little Milton with Sunflower ditty for you.  When I saw that little sunflower, I just knew I had to pop it up on some dimensionals.  Milton is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with {a lot} of Copics!  Seriously, I have a bloggy friend that always teases me about the copious amounts of markers I use for one image! lol  He looked a little plain all colored up, so I doodled in some grassy ground, flowers and little butterflies.

Again, blogger doesn’t like my photos and makes them appear blurry…if you click on the photo, it will open in another window and will not be blurry.  Argh…
iCopic is now carrying some fabulous new 6×6 paper pads!  You can go here to view the entire selection.  The polka dot paper on the large panel is from the new Authentique Blissful collection.  I just got it in the mail yesterday!  It worked perfectly with my image…if you look really closely, the melon-y color is actually surrounding a few of the dots!  How serendipitous!
Lastly, I stamped a banner from Lawn Fawn’s Bannerific clear set in Versafine Onyx Black on vellum along with the sentiment (from my stash) and embossed it with clear detail embossing powder.  I then fussy cut it out and mounted it on dimensional foam tape over the base of the image.
You have until Sunday, August 14th, at noon PST to join in the challenge!  Not only do you have a chance at a wonderful prize, you may be featured right here on the iCopic lover blog!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!  :o) lyss

Lawn Fawn Magnets ~

Written by Ash. Posted in Uncategorized

Hi iCopic friends!  Alyssa here!  The iCopic Weekly Challenge #40 is Anything But a Card!  I was inspired by this challenge to make a little game set for my son.  We’ll be taking a road trip later this summer to go visit my in-laws in Missouri, so I’ll need some things to pass the time with my little guy.  I have some magnet sheets in my stash that I use for various things – mainly for storage cards for my die cuts.  The back of the magnet sheet is white paper… light bulb moment!  I’ve seen cookie sheet calendars in the past, but I thought maybe I could make my son a set of magnets to play with in the car!

I chose to use the adorable Lawn Fawn Critters in the Forest clear acrylic set.  I took all of the image stamps in the set and put them on my largest stamping block.  Instead of wasting my nice Copic paper, I stamped directly on the back of the magnet sheet and colored everything up with my markers.

Once they were all colored up and cut out, I rimmed the edges with a black marker to finish them off!  Easy!  Now we can make up funny little stories with them while we’re driving through corn fields as far as the eye can see!  lol
Don’t forget!  Copic prices increase on Monday!!!  Get your orders in now!

Hope you’re inspired to play along with our challenge this week!  One random winner will get their choice of 4 Copic Ciao markers!  Have a super weekend!!  :o) lyss

Tuesday Tips & Tricks – Custom Embellishments

Written by Ash. Posted in Uncategorized

Hi Friends! Rachel here bringing you this week’s Tuesday Tips and Tricks! Have you ever found yourself searching for the perfect matching embellishments for your projects? You look through all your supplies and find you have every other color except the one you need. Well here comes Copic markers to the rescue. One of my favorite features about Copic markers are their ability to color on multiple surfaces. Did you know you can create your own custom colored pearls and gems for your projects? Just select the color you need from the wonderful array of Copic markers and color directly over any white pearl or clear gem. It’s that easy! Today’s projects show just how easy it is to create your own custom embellishments using those fabulous Copic markers available at iCopic.

Have you all seen the iCopic July Release of these adorable new Wild Rose Studio stamps? My card features the super sweet Milton with Barrow stamp. Isn’t Milton the cutest? These images are so fun to color and embellish. I wanted to embellish the center of the flowers, but of course I did not have yellow pearls or gems. So I just whipped up my own by coloring with Y18 over tiny white pearls. Woo Hoo! ~ instant yellow pearls!

Next up, I thought we should have a little Christmas in July! I used the pine tree from Critters in the Forest by Lawn Fawn to create a fun gift tag. I created custom colored ornaments for the tree by using several Copic markers to color white pearls and clear gems. It really is so quick and easy to create your own custom embellishments. I hope you give it a try!!! Remember all your favorite Copic colors are available at iCopic at an incredible price.

Thanks for visiting and Have a Great Day!

Hi everyone, Kelli here!  Today I have a bright, cheery card for you!  This weeks challenge is to color on paper other than white.  It can be kraft (what I did), patterned, or whatever else you can think of…it’s up to you!  Please feel free to visit this post and play along!  🙂

I used the awesome Blissful Botanicals stamp set by Lawn Fawn.  Their images are adorable, check them out!  I stamped the branches on kraft card stack using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics G21, G24 and G28.  I did the same with the flower and used RV23, RV25 and RV29.  Oh and you see the background on the base of my card in the first picture?  That was done using a really neat, long vine image from the Blissful Botanicals set as well!  I punched out my stamped sentiment and then airbrushed it using mostly Y35 and a tiny bit of BG13.  I love airbrushing, it’s so much fun!  I finished it off with some Divine Baker’s Twine with a button.  As you can tell I was going for color everywhere today!
Thanks for stopping by, have a great rest of the week!
