Happy Birthday!!

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Happy Friday everyone, Holly here today. I’m running a little late this week, I can’t believe September is almost over!!! Before I get to my card today I wanted to remind you there’s still time to join our Chameleon Pen giveaway...You can find all the details in this post here. We also have a Fall Video Challenge going on and our Bi-Weekly Challenge to check out!!

My project today features the WPlus9 Summer Citrus and Basic Labels Set and coordinating dies.

I started with a piece of Bristol Smooth paper and then I stamped the solid image of the Pineapple and stems using Distress inks. I used Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed for Pineapple and Peeled Paint for the stems. I stamped each image with the Distress ink and then I spritzed it before stamping down onto the paper. Once I had the images stamped where I wanted them I spritzed the paper making the ink move around a little and I heat set it with a heat tool. I added a few splatters of the same colors of Distress Ink and heat set it on more time. Then I stamped the outline images over the Solid images off centered just a little with VersaFine Jet Black Ink.

Then I added a few splatters of Black Soot Distress Paint to the background and heat set everything one last time. I trimmed a 1/16 of an inch of each side and adhered the panel to a top folding Black Licorice card base.  I stamped the label and sentiment from the Basic Label set in VersaFine Black ink and used the coordinating die cut to trim it out. I adhered the label over the pineapples with some foam tape. I added some Sequins from the Neat & Tangled Peacock Feathers Mix and Pretty Pink Posh Black 4mm.

Thanks for stopping by today.. Be sure to check out our Giveaway and Challenges listed above!!

Furr-Ever Friends

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Uncategorized

Happy Friday everyone, it’s Holly here today… Have you checked out the July Release from Newton’s Nook Designs? They are celebrating their Four year Anniversary this month with 6 new Stamp sets, a border die set and 4 Stencils. Today I’m using one of the new stencils from the July Release and the Furr-Ever Friends Set from the June Release.

I started with a piece of Bristol cardstock, using the Paw Print stencil form Newton’s Nook. I smooshed some Salty Ocean Distress Oxide onto the back of the stencil. Then I spritzed it with some water and flipped it over and laid it down on the Bristol. I let it sit for a few minutes then I used a paper towel to dab up any excess that may of come through the openings. I heat set the panel with a heat tool. The I die cut the panel using the MFT Blue Prints 15 Die-namics. You can see how I created the background and more ways to use these stencils in the video below.

I stamped the halo image from the Forever Friends set onto the panel with some Gold embossing powder , then I adhered the panel to a White top folding card base. I die cut the stitched cloud from the MFT End of the Rainbow die-namic and stamped the sentiment in the center. I adhered the Cloud with some foam tape leaving enough area to add the cat silhouette. I stamped the cat silhouette in Black ink and I heat embossed the Wings onto some Vellum in Gold. I cut the images out and adhered them to the cloud. For an extra touch of sparkle I added some Mixed Sequins from Neat & Tangled.

We’re also having a sale on all things Newton, so stop by the store and grab your Favorites today!!

Hello, everyone … I hope you are having a Great Week so far! Today I’m sharing a cute card featuring new products from Waffle Flower Crafts.

I started by die cutting a piece of Bristol cardstock and then I created a sky background with the MFT Cloud Stencil and some Salty Ocean Distress Ink. I adhered the panel to a A2 sized Black card base. I stamped the images and sentiment banner from the Waffle Flowers Crafts new Across the Miles Stamp set with some VersaFine Black ink. Then I colored the images in with some Distress Markers and a Waterbrush.

I used the following Distress Markers:

Abandoned Coral, Dried Marigold, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo & Hickory Smoke.

Once the images were dry I used the coordinating die cuts to trim them out. I adhered each image to the front of the card with some foam adhesive for some height. This is a really a Cute set, if you haven’t checked out Big Bear and Bird you can find more info on them here.
