For my project I used one of the stamps from The Greeting Farm – Miss Anya Night Out set.  She is stamped in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It – Blending Card Paper and colored with Copics:
Hair – E29, E27, E25, E23, E21
Skin – E13, E53, E51, E50, R20 for Cheeks
Dress – B99, B97, B95, B93
Earrings and Purse – E39, E37, E35, E32

I cut her out and ran my Memento – Tuxedo Black marker along the white core so that it gave it a more finished look.

All the patterned paper is from the Echo Park – Beautiful Life 6×6 paper pad and I adhered them all to the card using the Crafter’s Companion – Extra Strong Adhesive Runner.  For the sentiment I used the Tiddly Inks – Flying High stamp set and heat embossed it in white onto a piece of patterned paper.

I added a little bit of twine around the center and some gemstones around the main image for some more detail.

To finish everything off I added some Glossy Accents to her purse and earrings.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  🙂

‘Tis the Season Snowman

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Tips & Tricks

Hi, everyone!  Kelli here today with a Christmas card to share with you!  I also want to share a little tutorial of how I colored the snowman at the end of this post.  For the main image I used the sweet Whiff of Joy – Cute Snowman stamp.  I stamped him with Memento – Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It paper and colored him with Copics:
snowman body- B32, B21, W1
snowman arms- E59, E57
snowman nose- YR18, YR16, YR14
hat- C9, C7, C6, C5, C4
scarf- G28, G24 G21, R39, R29, R27, R24, E55, E31, E51
cardinal- R39, R29, R27, R24, E55, E31, E51
snow- B32, B21, B000, B0000

The card base is the Bazzill Card Shoppe – Chocolate Malt.  The thickness of this card stock is great and perfect for card bases!  The background, scalloped edge, main image, and sentiment were all cut out using the My Favorite Things – Blueprints 6 die set.  The patterned paper is from the Echo Park – Reflections Christmas 6×6 paper pad.  The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things – Starry Christmas stamp set.

The twine is from craftkin.com and is in the color Red Sunset.

To finish everything off I added some white gel pen stitch lines to the card base, some glitter to the snow and some Glossy Accents to the snowman’s nose.

To color the snowman I first made little dots around the outside edges using my darkest color, B32.  You will want to have fewest of the darkest dots.

Next I added some dots in B21 in between the other dots and I also brought them out a little further into the center.

Finally I added quite a few dots in W1.  This is the lightest color so you can add more of them and don’t have to be as careful.  I brought these out even further into the center.

You can also color snowmen the traditional way where you blend the colors, but this is a fun alternative!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂

Happy birthday…to you!

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi, everyone!  It’s Kelli here today with a birthday card to share with you.  I tend to give birthday cards the most so any time I can make one and add it to my stash is great!  I used a few different stamps sets on this card, but the main one was the Lawn Fawn – A Birdie Told Me stamp set along with the matching A Birdie Told Me die set.
I stamped the little birds in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics:
top bird- Y35, Y15, Y13, Y11, BG07, BG05, BG02, BG01, YR18, YR16, YR14
bottom bird- Y35, Y15, Y13, Y11, Y000, RV29, RV25, RV23, YR18, YR16, YR14

The ‘happy birthday’ part of the sentiment is from the Tiddly Inks – Flying High stamp set.  I stamped it in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Y35 and Y11.  The ‘to you’ was stamped using two separate stamps from the Lawn Fawn – Love ‘n Breakfast stamp set.  The words were each from a different sentiment, but it’s really easy to mask off parts of it to only get the word you want.

The kraft background piece, the base behind the birds and the little scalloped border were all cut from the My Favorite Things – Blueprints 6 die set.  The patterned papers on the base behind the birds is from the Echo Park – Here & Now 6×6 paper pad.

I stamped the kraft background with the SP & Company – Wooden It Be Nice Woodgrain Background stamp in opaque white ink.  I really love the look of white ink on kraft cardstock!

I used some Sun Kissed Baker’s Twine and wrapped it around the kraft base a few times and then tied a bow through a button.

To finish everything off I added a little heart from the A Birdie Told Me die set and covered it with Glossy Accents.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂
