More Interaction… Ribbit!

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello, hello!  It is Lisa back here with you on this beautiful Wednesday!  Last week I shared a Magic Slider card and this week I decided to go interactive again with a new to me Art Impressions Set Called: Toad Wiggle Wobble.  The best thing about this set is that it comes with everything you need to make at least your first full moving frog!  After that you just have to pick up a few more brads and wobbles to keep her moving… or use product you might already have on hand!  Here is how my first cutie turned out…

Isn’t she just the cutest?!  And she was so fun to make!  After I stamped her body, two arms, two legs, and two thighs I began coloring her in with Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers in LG2, LG3, LG4, PP1, PP3, and PP5.  When using the Illustrator Markers I start by coloring with the lightest color and adding it all over the image.  Next, I add the darkest color I want to use in the shadow areas. I then go back over the darker area with my middle color, and lastly I go over most of it again with the lightest color.

Once everything was colored I used the matching dies to cut everything out.  Just add a few mini brads and she is ready to leap onto her stage.

For her background I used Echo Park’s Dots and Stripes Paper Pad, as well as a mix of MFT Blueprints 31 Die and Stitched Oval Scallop Frame Die. Lastly I added a few purple pearls.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you will join in our latest challenge! And don’t forget to enter to win the newest giveaway too!  Good luck!

Howdy, Howdy, Howdy

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! Cactus are very popular right now. I don’t know about you, but I cannot get enough of them. I have plenty stamps and papers covered with them! Why not add more to?!?

Today I am pairing up the Stamping Bella’s SG Cactus and Echo Park’s Just Be You paper pad:

I stamped the cactus onto light green paper from the 6×6 paper pad. I used a few different shades of green Chameleon markers to color in the image. The cactus are cut out and set aside. I used a few different prints, layered on the card base to start this card. To make the cactus pop, I added a circle die cut from the starry print from the paper pad.

To finish the card, I used the stamp ‘Howdy’ from the SG Cactus stamp set and repeatedly stamped across a printed strip of paper. This strip is then attached to the card using my Scotch glue tape.

The following Chameleon markers were used on today’s card: GR2, GR4, CB

Thank you for stopping by today!

Hello Gorgeous

Written by jpascarella. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Uncategorized

Hello, friends! Can you believe that July is almost over?!? School starts back up in less than one month. What have you been doing to fill up your days? We finally took the family to the beach today. First time this year and then we realized we never went last year. So hopefully, we can sneak in one more trip before school starts!

Today I am working with the Waffle Flower’s Pretty Foliage and Chameleon markers:

So I was a little late to the MISTI fan train. I have it for some time now and just recently found out how awesome the system is! I love how you can stamp the image in the same spot repeatedly for crisper lines. Once the ink was dry, it is time to color in with Chameleon markers. I tried to use colors from the fun print below.

Once the images were colored in, the sentiment is add in the top left corner. The sentiment is colored in using orange and yellow. The panel is then attached to the printed paper and then attached to the card base.

The following Chameleon markers were used on today’s card:

RD2, RD4, YG3, GR3, GR4, OL3, YL2, YO2, OR3, OR4, PK3

Thank you for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Llama Tell You

Written by jpascarella. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! Llamas are pretty popular right now! I have seen them on stamps, papers, clothes, mugs…you name it! Everywhere you turn, there are llamas! I just chuckled as I wrote that… a few weeks ago, my daughter’s field trip was at a local wildlife zoo. You know, the kind you drive your car through and the animals are roaming free. While I was leaving the zoo, I turned the corner and the road was being blocked by a number of llamas. They would not budge, so I had to sit there surround by llamas.  Anyway, that is my llama story, guess I should move on to my card 🙂

Today’s card uses the super cute Gerda Steiner Designs Llama Tell You and Echo Park’s Summer Dreams papers:

The stamped images are on white cardstock and called in with Chameleon markers. The images are then cut out using the coordinating dies. I used other dies to create the panel for the scene. I used a paper pad to make it super easy to coordinate the papers.

The scene is pieced together. The panel is then attached to another coordinating print. The sentiment is stamped onto a thin strip of paper and attached towards the bottom of the card. To finish the card, I added a few NUVO drops to fill in the empty space next to the sentiment.

The following Chameleon Markers were used on today’s card: NU00, NU1, BR5, YG3, GR1
