Make a Wish Lawn Fawn Card

Written by Heidi. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello everybody, Heidi here sharing with you this birthday card using the new “Party Animal” Lawn Fawn stamps and dies.

I wanted to make a really soft card that would work for a little girl’s birthday, since we have a girl’s birthday party to go this coming weekend. I also used some of the new “Stiched border dies from Lawn Fawn, they don’t make any cut, they just emboss a nice stitched line, and some of the new Lawn Fawn dye inks.

Let me show you this card and I will tell you a little bit more about it.

As always all the supplies are listed and linked below

DSC_7516I kept all the coloring really soft and I placed my critter off to the right side. I also limited my cross stitched border to the left bottom corner. I sometimes like to off set things and I also like to try different placements for my card’s elements. It’t that little imperfection that sometimes make the hand made cards special, right?

DSC_7513One fun thing about most Lawn Fawn sets is, that they are full of little images that would help you make cute backgrounds. The Party Animal stamp set is not the exception, it has cute little confetti to complement your party scenes. I did all the stamping with Lawn Fawn inks and I color all the images with Copic Markers. For the shading on the right bottom corner I used Peacock Feather Distress ink and kept it really soft.

I hope you’ll enjoy this and that you’ll try some of these adorable Lawn Fawn products.

Hello everybody, welcome to another Colorful Saturday, Heidi here, sharing with you, a friendship card using new Mama Elephant stamps and dies. I had lots of fun making this card! It was one of those cards that makes you happy to make, it might been because of  the puppies, (I love puppies) I really enjoyed making this card, so I hope you give it a try. It came together real easy, I think, with this stamp and dies set, once you have all your pieces all colored and cut you can create a real cute scene. so let’s take a look and I will tell you a little bit more about it

As always all the supplies are listed and linked below

DSC_7481

The sentiment on the top part is from the Mama Elephant “Honey Bunny” stamp set, the sentiment on the lower part is from the Mama Elephant “Sunday Sentiments” stamp set.

DSC_7480  To create the sky and grass, I simply masked the area with a piece of post it tape and used “Distress Ink” to softly blend the grass and sky.

DSC_7479I colored the puppy on the right to make him look like my own puppy and I gave the other puppy a spotted look.

I hoped you’ll enjoy this card and that you try these adorable sets by Mama Elephant Stamps

Written by Heidi. Posted in Challenges, Eye Candy (Projects), Tips & Tricks, Tutorials, Uncategorized

Hello everybody! Heidi here, welcome back to the Marker POP blog. Today I am sharing with you a photo tutorial of a patriotic 4th the July card, that I created using Pretty Pink Posh Sequins, “I wish you were here” dies, the largest form the small set of “Stitched rectangle dies,” and the “Happy 4th” stamp set by Lawn Fawn.

Aren’t the colors of our flag beautiful? I personally love this combination!

It’s is a very simple and fun to make card, just let the sequins be the start of the show.

All the supplies are listed and linked below

Here is the final picture of my card

Here is is the card that I’m sharing with you today and I will show you how I make it with the photo tutorial below

First I die cut the stitched rectangle die and the United States outline map.

You will need both negative which will be your card front and the positive that will help you trace the place where the sequins will be.

Then I used the positive part of the map to trace the map on another piece of white cardstock, smaller than my panel. I traced it about a 1/4" away from the map out line. this doesn't have to be perfect!
