Sending Get Well Wishes

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi everyone, it’s Holly here today! Today I’m using a few products from WPlus9’s April Release. Dawn has done it again with another fantastic release, and the Pandas in the Friends for All Seasons: Spring set are too cute!

mp2

I started out with a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor card stock and using some Distress Inks in Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn & Tumbled Grass I created a background with stencils and the Mini Ink Blending tool. To create the stencils I used the Scenic Safari border & Stitched Cloud Edge dies from MFT. Then I die cut the panel using the Mama Elephant Sew Fancy Creative Cuts. I stamped the sentiment from Sending, Hoping and Wishes set from WPlus9 in VersaFine Black ink.  I adhered the panel to a top folding card base and set it aside to dry a bit.

mp1

I stamped the panda & flower images using some Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Solar White card stock and added some Shading and blush with Copics… W00,W1, R20, BG0000, BG000, Y00, Y02, Y08, YR15, YG06 & G07. Then I cut them out using the coordinating dies. I adhered the top Panda and the Flower directly onto the card front with some Tombow Multi Liquid Glue and the lower Panda has some Foam tape behind him for dimension. For a touch of bling I added some Mixed Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Birthday Bear Hugs!

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Tutorials, Videos

Hi everyone… Happy Friday!! It’s Holly here today with a fun card and a video.. I’m using some new products from My Favorite Things and the popular Distress Crayons from Tim Holtz.

mp2

I started out with a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor card stock and using the Wonky Chevron stencil from MFT and some Ranger White Embossing paste I created a background. Once that was dry I added some Distress crayon in Twisted Citron and Mermaid Lagoon over the dried paste and using a wet fingertip I spread the color around over the embossed area.

mp1

I die cut the watercolor panel with the Largest Stitched Wonky die from MFT and then I added some Foam adhesive to the back and adhered it to a Kraft colored top folding card base. I stamped the images from the Forest Friends set from MFT onto some White card stock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them in with Copics. Then I cut them out using the coordinating dies and my Big Shot.

mp3

I adhered the trees and the bear using some Tombow Mono Multi Glue and Foam tape. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of White card stock using some VersaFine Black ink and die cut it using the new Blueprints 27 from MFT. I adhered the sentiment with some additional foam tape as well. For a touch of sparkle I added a few of the Mixed Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I used the following Copics to color the images:

Bear: E34, E37, E47 & E49 Trees: G03, G07 & G28 Bear Ears inside: R20

Sending Hugs

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Tutorials, Uncategorized, Videos

Hi everyone it’s Holly here today with a fun card using a brand new product to the markerPop store!! I created a background for my images using some Ken Oliver Color Burst Powders. They are now available in the store along with the awesome Ken Oliver Best ever Craft Mat!

mp2

I started with a piece of  Watercolor card stock cut to A2 size. I spritzed some water into the center of the paper and then I lightly tapped some of the Ultramarine Blue powder into the center. I picked the card stock up and moved the paper around to spread the color. I heat set it with my heat tool and set it aside.

mp1

Then I stamped the images from the Avery Elle Woodland Wonders set onto some Neenah Solar White card stock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them in with Copics. Then I die cut them using the coordinating dies and my Big Shot.

mp3

I die cut a piece of White card stock using the Mama Elephant All Prettied Up Creative Cuts and then I trimmed the panel I created the Blue background on to fit behind my focal panel. I assembled some of the die cut images behind the circle in the panel and then I adhered the Background piece. I added some foam adhesive to the back and adhered it to a standard top folding Grey A2 size card base. I added the rest of my images with some additional foam adhesive.

I used the following Copics:

Tree: W00, W1, W3 Leaves: YG17, YG09 & G07 Banner: C0, C1 & 0 Owl: E11, E13, E15 & E18

Butterflies: YR12, YR07 & Y00

I started by created a Galaxy Background on a piece of Watercolor paper using Distress Inks in … Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Perserves,Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. I added the Distress inks in layers drying in between and then once it was dry I splattered on some Picket Fence paint and a few drops of Stain.

I die cut the panel using the Large Stitched Wonky Dies from MFT and the I heat embossed the sentiments and a few stars from the same set using some White embossing powder. I adhered the panel to a top folding White card base using some Foam adhesive.

horay3

I stamped the bear and balloon image from Space Bears onto some White card stock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the in with Copics... I used W00, W1, W3 & W5 for the Bear and a BG 10, BG11 & Bg13 for the Balloon. I added a little BG10 around the Helmet and then covered it with some Clear Wink of Stella. I die cut both images using the coordinating died and adhered them to the card front using foam adhesive. I love how the background came out I wanted the bear to really pop against the background so I was going for a lighter center in my Galaxy.
