A Sweet Hello

Written by jpascarella. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! Are you bird watchers? My mother and her parents are. I never really thought I was until I moved to Texas near the Gulf Coast. One of the first things I realized were the different birds and in the certain area that I live…the lack of birds. One of my favorite birds are hummingbirds. They are some fascinating birds. Their bright colors and their speed!

Today’s card showcases the Pink & Main’s Hummingbirds and Chameleon markers:

The images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto white cardstock. The images are colored in with a variety of Chameleon markers. The images are then cut out using the Hummingbirds coordinating dies. The sentiment is stamped onto a printed strip of paper from the Photo Paper Play Summer Bucket List 6×6 paper pad. The background panel is from the same paper pad.

The following Chameleon markers were used on this project: RD2, RD4, BG1, BG4, GR1, GR3, YG3, BR4, OR4

Llama Tell You

Written by jpascarella. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! Llamas are pretty popular right now! I have seen them on stamps, papers, clothes, mugs…you name it! Everywhere you turn, there are llamas! I just chuckled as I wrote that… a few weeks ago, my daughter’s field trip was at a local wildlife zoo. You know, the kind you drive your car through and the animals are roaming free. While I was leaving the zoo, I turned the corner and the road was being blocked by a number of llamas. They would not budge, so I had to sit there surround by llamas.  Anyway, that is my llama story, guess I should move on to my card 🙂

Today’s card uses the super cute Gerda Steiner Designs Llama Tell You and Echo Park’s Summer Dreams papers:

The stamped images are on white cardstock and called in with Chameleon markers. The images are then cut out using the coordinating dies. I used other dies to create the panel for the scene. I used a paper pad to make it super easy to coordinate the papers.

The scene is pieced together. The panel is then attached to another coordinating print. The sentiment is stamped onto a thin strip of paper and attached towards the bottom of the card. To finish the card, I added a few NUVO drops to fill in the empty space next to the sentiment.

The following Chameleon Markers were used on today’s card: NU00, NU1, BR5, YG3, GR1

Lawn Fawn and Chameleon

Written by jpascarella. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Happy Friday, MarkerPOP friends! Can you believe that today is the last day of March? Bring on April! So when someone mentions the month of April, I usually think of flowers and bunnies. So let’s get to work with some bunnies.

Today, I am working with the Lawn Fawn’s Hoppy Easter stamp set and Chameleon markers:

To create the background for the card, I used a few different prints from the Doodlebug’s Hello Sunshine 6×6 paper pad. The hill is formed using a stitched wave die. The two printed are attached to the cardbase.

The bunnies are stamped onto white cardstock, along with the carrot, egg and basket. All images are colored in with a variety of Chameleon markers. The images are then cut out with their coordinating dies. The bunnies are attached on the hill. The egg, carrot, and basket are attached to the bunnies as if they are holding the items. A simple sentiment is stamped onto a orange printed paper and attached to the top of the card.

The following Chameleon markers, CB YG3, GR1, GR4, BL3, BR2, BR4 OR3, OR4, PK2, PK3, NU0, NU3 were used on today’s card.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

You COLOR My World

Written by jpascarella. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! It is Jessi here! It seems like everywhere I turn, I am running into projects that include rainbows. When I first saw the Color Me Happy stamp set from Sunny Studios, I could not wait to get me hands on it!

Today I am working with the Color Me Happy stamp set and coordinating die:

I took a collection of ZIG Clean Color markers and did a swatch of each color onto some watercolor cardstock. I used a rainbow die and cut it out of each color. I grabbed one piece of each color to form the rainbow. I also used a variety of cloud dies and attached three of them across the card.

To complete the card, I used the coordinating die and used black cardstock to form part of the sentiment. I used stamped words to complete the sentiment.

ZIG Clean Color Markers used for this card: 022, 032, 047, 050, 080
