Gift of Joy

Written by Monica Edwards. Posted in 3D, Anything But a Card

Hi everyone! Just ten more day until Christmas!! Does anyone have anything different planned this year?  We decided to have a huge White Elephant Exchange which includes the kids and some are only 3 years old this should be fun to explain right?!!  Each kid will even have to go to a store and pick out a gift they want to “give” away.

Today I made a tag using  Some Odd Girl.  She is holding a gift and the sentiment was perfect I thought for tags for the gifts the kids had.  She is an older stamp, but I really love everything about this stamp.  It was just perfect!!

Merry & Bright

Written by Valerie Ward. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Happy Saturday!! Valerie here, and I have a card today featuring Lawn Fawn and Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Inks!

This Christmas card is 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″. I stamped the sentiment from the Snow Day stamp set and the snowflakes from the Winter in the Park stamp set with VersaMark ink onto Distress Watercolor paper, and then heat embossed them with embossing powders..

Lawn Fawn stamps & dies & ink, Distress inks, Copics {ValByDesign, 2015}

Then I blended Ranger Tim Holtz Distress inks onto the paper (with my Mini Ink Blending Tools) over the stamped images, using Squeezed Lemonade, Salty Ocean, and Blueprint Sketch.

The next step was to stamp the bench and the lamp post with Lawn Fawn’s Black Licorice ink. I then stamped the red bow with Lawn Fawn’s Lobster ink, and hand cut it out. After I glued it to the lamp post, I put Xmas Red Stickles on it. I cut out the background hill with a Lawn Fawn Hillside Borders die, die cut the bench’s snow with the Winter in the Park die set, and covered both the background snow hill and the bench’s snow with Sprinkled Sugar Stickles.

Then I assembled it all, and got this sweet Christmasy night-time snow scene card.

Hope you enjoy! Have a great weekend!

Holiday Treats!!

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in 3D, Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi everyone it’s Holly here and today I have some super cute gift card envelopes.. and I’m using those super adorable Reindeer from the Mama Elephant Reindeer Games set and a few other new critters!

I started with the new Mama Elephant Creative Cuts Lucky Envelope and die cut several of them from Blue and Red card stock and then I assembled them with Scor-Tape. I stamped the reindeer images onto some White card stock using some Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then I colored them in with Copics. I die cut the reindeer using the Reindeer Games die set.

I added a snow bank using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside border dies and some White card stock.. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Mama Elephant Cozy Christmas Set. I adhered the Reindeer with some dimensional adhesive. These are perfect for gift cards or my Grandfather is using these for cash for the little kids in our family. I wanted to make a few more to have on hand for the New Year that I can give out gift cards in for those I might miss seeing over Christmas. So, I used the new Lunar Animals stamp set & coordinating die set,  and the Lunar extras stamp set & coordinating dies.

I love that Lucky Cat image.. it’s so cute and 2016 is the year of the Monkey! I used some Gold and Gold Glittered embossing powders for my details and I colored the images with Copics as well and used their coordinating Die cuts. I also added some Gold Wink of Stella to the Coin and collar on the cat and the reindeer.

Copics used:

Reindeer ~ E53, E25, E34, E27, R17 & Y21. Cat ~ C0, C1, Y06, Y09, R12, R17, Y26 & Y21. Monkey~ E53, E25, E34, E27,R12, Y26 & Y21

Christmas Card featuring Mama Elephant

Written by Heidi. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Uncategorized

Hello everybody, Heidi here! I hope all of your holiday preparations are going well. Today I am sharing with you more holiday inspiration. For today’s card I’m featuring the “Festive Mice” stamp and coordinated die set and the “Merry Script” Creative cuts by Mama Elephant

20151208_212200For this card, I stamped the mice and color them using W1, W3, and W5 Copic Markers and I added blush on their chicks and ears using  R20. I used a stencil by My Favorite things to created a doted background, that I inked using “Squeezed Lemonade” Distress Ink. I also used Copic Markers on the rest of the stamped images.

20151208_212215 I layered the “Merry Scripty” die three times and I adhered directly on to the card panel. I cut a strip on patterned paper by Lawn Fawn and I adhered to the side of the card as an accent. Lastly I adhered the die cut images using foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed this card featuring adorable Mama Elephant products.

Have a lovely day!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I’ll see you soon with more projects and inspiration!
