More Altenew With Multi-Step Florals

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Uncategorized

Hello!  It’s Lisa back again today with another Altenew floral project, but this time with a multi-step stamp set called Winter Rose.  If you’ve seen a few of my projects then you know I just love floral images, and Altenew makes some of the best multi-step flowers around.  When I saw the Winter Rose set during the last release I had to have it.

For today’s card I used another whimsy color scheme, and I really like it…

To create this card I stamped the flowers following the guide on the back of the stamp set with Altenew Cherry Blossom Ink Pad Set of 4, and Jet Black.  The leaves were stamped with the Altenew Rock Collection Ink Pad Set of 4.  Next, I decided to add some shimmer with Spectrum Noir Glitter Pens.  I brushed  two of the corners and added some clear over the flowers.

I love the shine from these pens, and in person they are so much better!  The finishing touch came with the Pretty Pink Posh Clear Sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, and don’t forget there is still a little bit of time left to enter the Fall Contest!

Happy Crafting!

Lovely Hello From Concord & 9th

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello friends!  It’s Lisa here with you today and I have a bright floral hello to share with all of you.  Since Concord & 9th is celebrating their 2 year anniversary, and they have released some pretty amazing new goodies (which you can get now in the store!) I just had to pull out some of my favorite stamps to share with you…

To create this card I started by stamping my background panel with the Sunshine Turnabout stamp set and my Altenew inks from the Rock Collection.  Next, I worked on the floral image from the Hello Lovely Stamp Set.  Normally I find some way to color this image in as I’ve always been a bit timid about using the matching water colored images in the set.  This time I set my fears to the side, and let things get messy.  I will admit that I did use some masking to keep too many of the colors blending, but for the most part I let it mix freely.  To do this I colored these images in with my Tombow markers and repeatedly stamped them until they were covering the flowers the way I wanted them to.

Once the image was completely colored I cut the whole thing out.  I then adhered it with a small piece of vellum to my sunshine background.  For my sentiment I embossed it with white embossing powder and adhered it with foam adhesive.  The card was finished off with some sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope to see your projects in our challenges!  They are fun to play along with and you can win prizes!

Just Wanted to Say Hello

Written by Valerie Ward. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello, Crafters! I can’t believe the end of May is next week! And with this being the last Thursday of May, this will also be my last post for MarkerPop. I want to thank MarkerPop for having me on their fabulous team; they are such a wonderful company, and I have enjoyed every minute of this journey with them!

So let’s move on to my card for the week! I am featuring lots & lots of Altenew products with this “Hello” card! The main feature of this card is their fun Painted Jellyfish stamp & die set. Here is Altenew’s Intro Video for this set:

Here’s the card I created using these fun multi-step stamps:

I stamped the jellyfish images with Altenew inks. For the green one, I used (light to dark) Bamboo, Olive, & Moss; these colors also all come together in a set of full size ink pads, and a set of mini’s, too. For the orange jellyfish, I used Sunkissed, Autumn Beige, & Velvet. You can get these colors when you combine the mini set Warm & Cozy with Red Sunset; there are also full size sets here & here.

The sentiment is created using Altenew’s Halftone Hello Stamp set & coordinating Die Set

For the background, first I spritzed 3 Altenew Shimmer Ink Sprays onto the paper (Lavender Fields, Sea Glass, Frayed Leaf). I let it dry, then I placed the Altenew Stone Wall Stencil over the background paper and spritzed it with Tsukineko’s Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spray; it gives it a very subtle finish. You can see it in this photo:

My final touch was adding Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Cupped Sequins: 4mm, 6mm, 10mm.

Thank you to MarkerPop for having me on their Design Team! Have a wonderful day, and Happy Crafting!

You ( And A Unicorn )…

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello wonderful and dear crafty friends!  It is Lisa here with you today, and I have a fun and cute little card to share with you today using the newly released Winter Unicorn Stamp Set for a non-traditional Christmas Card…

To create this card I started by using a panel of Neenah Solar White Cardstock and stamped the unicorn in the center of this panel.  I didn’t spend any time re-stamping the image for a crisper look because I knew this unicorn would be covered up.  Next I stamped little hearts and stars from this stamp set with Lawn Fawn Dye Ink in Cranberry and Altenew Crisp ink in Warm Sunshine.  The sentiment was stamped  with Versafine Ink above and below these images.  To create the look of the unicorn flying in the sky I used the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Border Cut Set and adhered one to the top and the bottom of the panel after blending some distress ink in Tumbled Glass onto each of them.

Finally I stamped the unicorn onto a separate piece of cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I then colored it in with various Copic Markers (R20, R24, R29, R89, C0, C5, YG17, G28, G46).  Since the sentiment I used was Christmasy I decided to color her in with reds and greens to tie it all in. Next I fussy cut him out and went over the edges with my Tuxedo Black Marker.  After I popped her up with foam adhesive she needed a little sparkle so I busted out my Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Pen.
