Lil’ Devil

Written by Tracy Valure. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Saturday Spotlight

Hello! Tracy here today.  It’s almost Halloween, can you handle one last seasonal card!! I didn’t create as many as I usual do this year, but I do have a few. I loved the sweetness of this image!

Lil’ Devil – CC Designs

This little Devil is called Devilish Lucy from C.C. Designs. The paper is from the Serenity Collection by Bo Bunny. I used some Black hemp twine and looped it a few times. I used a punch on both sides of the image and weaved the twine in through paper. She is popped up a little with some foam squares to allow for the hemp. It’s hard to see, but the heart button is a Prima Wood Button from the Rosarian collection. It wasn’t the color I needed, so I just colored over it with my copic markers. The original was very light, pastel colors.  Did you know you could use your copics for more than coloring on paper?? Well, you can. I actually use mine to color pearls, rhinestones and sometimes ribbon!! Perfectly matches my image everytime!

Thanks for looking today and if you are going out to a Halloween Party – Have fun and be safe!!

Washi Tape Background

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi everyone, it’s Kelli here today!  I wanted to share a card with you that I made using one of the stamps from Miss Anya Scarves stamp set by The Greeting Farm.  This set is absolutely adorable and it includes THREE Anya stamps!  I stamped her in Memento – Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her using Copics:

E29, E59, E37, E35
E01, E00, E000
R29, R27, R24, R22
G28, G24, G21
C7, C5, C3, C1, N0
B01, B0000

For the green and red background behind the image I used two different colors of washi tape and adhered them to a piece of card stock diagonally.  I like how the diamonds in her scarf and the diamonds in the tape help tie everything together.  I wanted to keep it really simple so I finished it off by adding some red ribbon to make the card look like a present.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  🙂

I hope everyone is having a great week!   Thursdays at MarkerPop is a time to share 3-D projects.   Halloween is just around the corner and it is great to have  treat gift bags that are easy to created that we can  give to those special witches, jesters and ghosts that appear at our doors.    This is a very easy little gift bag that  is quick  to create and will bring a smile to some little trick or treater!

I used the Jester Tilda image from Magnolia.  I think this is a fun image to color.   There are so many different color options one can choose to make if fun and fanciful!

Let It Snow with Wild Rose Studio

Written by Melisssa Forquer. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi ya everyone, Melissa here today and I’m in love with the little critter stamps from Wild Rose Studio.  I’ve used the adorable image from Wild Rose Studio called Christmas Teddies for my card.

I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Xpress It paper.  Both are perfect for using with Copic Markers or any other alcohol based marker you might have.

I colored the image and added a bit of sparkle with Stickles and these adorable cyrstals from Prima called Say It in Crystals.  I love the Prima bling, it’s gorgeous!  I added a bit of chocolate baker’s twine as well and the paper is from My Mind’s Eye: All Is Bright.

My favorite part of using physical stamps is the ease in which I can complete the insides of my cards.  You can see below!

I hope I’ve inspired you to create your own little critter card and don’t forget to finish the inside of your card as it adds a special touch to your creations.
