Well hello there~.
I go by Hikka and I live in the land where they make potatoes, Idaho. I’m 22 years old going on 23 fairly soon, but we’re probably better off saying I’m going on to five. I love all things cute and cartoony. I’m an avid collector of Hello Kitty and animated movies. I also probably play way too many video games and listen to my music at unhealthy loud levels. I have a cat I spoil entirely and he knows it. When I’m not partaking in my nerdy endeavors, I work at a salon as a receptionist.
Art wise I’ve been drawing since I’ve been able to hold a crayon and scribble it over every surface imaginable. I’ve always loved drawing and now have so much art stuff sometimes I wonder how and why I have the space to hold it all, y’know while also constantly adding onto it. My main go to medium coloring wise used to be colored pencils, I loved layering colors, blending, and using bright vibrant shades. But it also had a tendency to wear my hands out too. Admittedly, markers were a medium I really loved the look of, but personally was too intimidated to try at first. But eventually I took the plunge, my first marker set being dyed based and took a lot of work to get it to take on the same look that came from good ol’ professional markers. Copics were something I had my eye on for a while, but always felt were a little out of reach. Until I happened to come upon a little marker by the name of ShinHan.
Two whole paychecks and a lot of tips later, I had myself a set of Touch Twin Brush markers and I can tell you, I don’t regret it one bit. I get the vibrancy I love and ability to mix and layer to my fancy without tiring myself out! Which is pretty awesome, for now I can color all I please~.
This is actually my first time on a design team (eek) but I’m looking forward to sharing what I love to do and maybe learn something new along the way~.
