Wagon Beauty!

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Uncategorized

Hi!  It’s Lisa here today, and surprise I have a watercolor card for you today, lol!  I hope you aren’t getting tired of them, but I’m having so much fun!  The stamp set I’ve used is called Garden Wagon Mini Set by Art Impressions (AI).  This company is a new one for MarkerPOP, and if you haven’t seen their sets you def. need to check them out!  They are innovative, pretty, cute, and funny.

I started by stamping my sentiment (from Mama Elephant), wagon and floral stems with Versafine Ink.  This ink is by far my favorite to use when I’m going to be watercoloring over my stamped images.  Next, I colored directly onto my floral dots with a variety of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers: Lilac, Purple, and Violet.  For my grass and stamps I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers: Olive Green and Deep Green and I hand drew some lines in.  Once I had all of the colors on the card I used a water brush to add some light touches to the flowers, and blended in the grass areas.  For the wagon I used Mid Gray and Green Gray.

I could have added a blue with my markers to create the sky, but I decided to take the easy way out and simply blended some Tumbled Glass Distress ink.  When everything was dry I ran the panel through my die cut machine with my Lacey Layers Waffle Flower Die.

The whole card was finished with patterned paper from the My Favorite Things Watercolor Wash Brights Paper Pack.  Thanks so much for joining me today, and I hope you’ll get a chance to play along in our recent challenge for your chance to win some goodies for yourself!

Happy Crafting!

Happy Birthday!!!

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Uncategorized

Hi everyone.. I hope you are having a great start to your week so far. Today I have a Fun Birthday card for you featuring the new Balloon Duo Stencil from Neat & Tangled and the Happy for you Stamp and Die set from Pink & Main.

I started with a piece of Bristol paper and I added the Balloons with the stencils and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. I used a mini ink blending tool and different levels of pressure to get different shades of ink. Then I added some splatters of water and dabbed off the excess with a paper towel. Once the panel was dry I added some splatters of Black Soot Distress Paint. Then I die cut the piece with a Large Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to a Black card base.

I die cut the Happy sentiment from some additional Bristol paper. I cut the outline and then three of the Happy’s out. I added some Picked Raspberry to one of the Happy’s and created the distressed look with some more water splatters. I adhered the three Happy’s together and then I adhered them to the larger Happy outline. I adhered it to the front of the card. I stamped the Birthday sentiment in VersaFine Black ink onto some White paper and trimmed it out, I added it over the Y in the Happy with some glue. For a touch of Sparkle, I added some Mixed Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I’m sorry about the delay in my video from Last week’s post. I have a really old computer and sometimes it doesn’t like to cooperate with the iMovie software. I’ve attached it below and you can also watch it over on the MarkerPop YouTube channel.

Have a great week!!!

Happy Birthday!!

Hello everyone.. Holly here today!! I hope you are having a great start to your week. Today I have a new video with a card using the new Concord & 9th Unicorn Awesomeness Set and Coordinating die.

I started with a top folding card base and then I added a layer of Echo Park Perfect Princess Pattern Paper.  Then I die cut a cloud border from the Unicorn Die set and adhered that along the bottom. I die cut a Banner from the YNS Fish Tail/Banner Die one set and embossed the sentiment in Altenew Pure White. I adhered the banner in the upper right corner with some foam tape. Then I die cut a Frame from the Mama Elephant Dotted Details creative cuts and adhered it with some more foam tape.

I stamped the unicorn onto some Neenah Solar White using Lawn Fawn JetBlack ink and colored it in with Copics… C00, C1 & C3. Y11, Y13, Y18 and Y000. I used the coordinating dies to cut the image out and adhered it with foam tape. I also added some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen to parts of the image. For a little-added sparkle, I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins.

You can find more details on how I created this card in the video below.

Seasons Greetings!

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Uncategorized

Happy Saturday everyone. it’s Holly here today with a card featuring the new Waffle Flower set…The Season. Can you believe it’s already the end of July and time for us to start thinking about Christmas cards?

This set is different and I think that’s what I liked about it. We see lots of Mermaids but rarely Mermen. And who could resist a Fun sentiment that says from your SEA-CRET Santa? I started with a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and some Distress Oxide Inks. I added some Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, and Broken China with a Mini ink blending tool. Then I added some Faded Jeans around the upper edge to darken it up a bit. I set the cardstock aside to dry on its own. These colors will dry back a little softer than what they look like when they are wet.

I stamped all of the images I wanted from The Season set onto some additional Bristol cardstock using Ranger Archival Black Ink and colored them in with Distress Markers and a water brush. Once they were dry I used the coordinating dies and cut them out. I used the following Distress Markers: Blueprint Sketch, Shaded Lilac, Peacock Feathers, Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber, Brushed Corduroy,  Cracked Pistachio, Tattered Rose, Pumice Stone, Carved Pumpkin, Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral, Wild Honey, and Vintage Photo.

I trimmed the Distress Inked panel and adhered it to a White top folding card base leaving a White border on each side. Then I stamped a few of the Bubbles and the sentiment in VersaFine Black ink.  I added some water droplets with a small paintbrush to the background and picked up the excess with a paper towel. I colored inside each bubble with some water as well to lighten up the ink. I adhered the images with some Liquid Glue and Foam tape. Then I added some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Glitter Pen to parts of the images and some Clear Nuvo Crystal Drops on the bubbles.

Have you started your Christmas Cards yet?
