Hello everyone, it’s Holly here today with a cute card and a tutorial on how to create texture with your Copics. We are celebrating Copic’s 30th Birthday all month long here at MarkerPop. Head over to this post for all the details on how you can Win one of several prizes valued at over $300 we will be giving away.
I started by stamping the fun Harry the Stuffie Gets Happy Mail from Stampingbella onto some X-Press it Blending card stock using Lawn Fawn’s Jet Black ink. Then I colored him in with Copics in the follwoing Colors : E70, E71, E74, E77, E50, E53, E55, C1, C4, C6, C9, B0000, BV20, R24, R46 & 100.
Once I had the images colored the way I wanted it I added some texture to the bear’s fur with some ) Colorless Blender fluid.
I used an old washcloth.. but you can use any type of material that has some texture. I added a few drops of the colorless blender to the rag.
Then apply the rag using gentle pressure onto you image where you’d like to see the texture. I did it over the fur so it would have a stippled effect. I don’t hold the rag in the spot for long just dab around the image. If you want more texture you can repeat or hold it a little longer in the spot.
As I lift up it removed a little of the color and creates very tiny dots.
I used the image for a card buy die cutting the panels with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched rectangle Dies and then I die cut a piece of the new MFT Graphic Gris 6×6 paper pad. I adhered both panels to a card base that I die cut with the same dies. And then I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Black Card stock and heat embossed it in White. I die cut the sentiment using the Blueprints Die-namics #29 from MFT. I adhered the sentiment with some foam tape for height. I added a few Mixed Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh for a little Sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by today.. Have a great rest of the Week and stay tuned for more Copic Tutorial from the Design Team all month long!
