Hi, everyone!  It’s Kelli and today I have a cute beachy card to share with you!  I used the adorable Magnolia – Edwin in Miami stamped in Memento Black Ink and colored with Copics:
skin- E13, E01, E00
hair- E27, E37, E35
shirt and shorts- B26, B24, B23, B21
shoes- E37, E35, C7, C5, C3
starfish- YR16, YR15, Y35, Y15
sand- E55, E53, E50
sky- BG18, BG13, BG11

The sentiment is from the Some Odd Girl – Under the Sea Mae.  I thought it coordinated perfectly!  All the patterned papers are from the Echo Park – This & That Charming 6×6 Pad.  I wanted to try something different so I stippled the sky and sand.  It was pretty fun because there’s no right or wrong way, you just go for it!  I used the darkest colors closest to the image and the went lighter towards the edges of the paper.
I finished the card off with some Glossy Accents on the starfish and an Orange Divine Twine bow.

Luka with Pumpkin

Hello everyone!   Marie here and I want to share a card I created for you today.  I know it is still summer, but I like to get a jump-start on Fall.   I love that time of year.   The smells  of cinnamon, hot spiced cider  and freshly baked pumpkin pie make me a happy woman!

I used the adorable stamp by La La Land Crafts Rubber Stamp called Luka with Pumpkin.  This stamp is a breeze to use.  It is a deep etched rubber stamp with a cushion back and it stamps with a beautiful, clean image.  It comes ready to use!  It measures approximately 4 in  x 3 in.  It  is a perfect size for card making, scrapbook pages and other crafts.

I used the following Copic alcohol ink markers on my image:
Skin Tone:  E000, E11
Pumpkin: YR18, YR16, YR15, YR12, YR00, R59
Pumpkin Stem:  W4, W1, W00
Pants and Shoes:  E40, E42, E44
Jacket, Hat and Socks: BG70, BG72, BG75
Hair: YR23, YR23, E35, Y23
Grass:  G24, G29

You will notice I used a very dark R59 very sparingly at the bottom of the pumpkin for my darkest shadow.
This is not the natural family group for YR but it works well if used in a small amount to add high contrast.
If you would prefer a moderate contrast, E35 could be used as a substitute.
I personally like high contrast and find that the eye is often drawn to such images.

You will also notice I created grass around Luka.  I always like to ground my images,
and creating grass is a fun way to accomplish that.

I created a little quilled pumpkin to coordinate with the theme of the image.

A frame was created my using a large oval die.
Framing the images is a fun twist!

Good morning everyone!  Tracy here on this glorious Friday with a card for you! It’s so nice to be back posting on the new MarkerPop blog! What do you think about all the changes? I know we are super excited over them!!

Today’s card is done using Bella with Balloons  from Wild Rose Studios.

I used Copic markers to do all my coloring. For the background I used a dotted or stippled technique of just randomly adding dots all around my image. I usually try to use 2-3 different colors when I do this. On this card I used B000, B00 and B60.

I tried to keep the balloons light in  color so the looked more translucent like a balloon appears.  The colors I used for the balloons were B00, B01, YG11, YG13, V000, V12, RV00, R81. I colored Bella using C00, C01, C03, R11. Tell me that is not the cutest elephant EVER!!!  I am super excited over this line from Wild Rose Studio. My favorite tear-jerker movie growing up was Dumbo and these little elephants remind me of that.  So adorable!

Hi everyone!  Melissa here, & I’m so excited to be sharing with you today on our NEW blog!  There’s been so much excitement around our name change, new store and blog that I could not wait to get back to sharing here.  Today, I’ve created a card using the OH SO romantic Some Odd Girl image called Romantic Gwyn.  I want to show you a close-up of Gwyn and notice her eye shadow.  I used the WONDERFUL Silver Spica pen to add the sparkle there and on her shoes.  The fantastic thing about the Silver Spica for her eye shadow is that I used only the Spica; the Spica added the color and the sparkle!

You can find Spica pens in a wide variety of colors HERE. Romantic Gwyn was stamped onto Copic X-press it Blending paper in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  All markers used were Copics.

There are a number of images that come with this set.  Including the adorable heart image that is stamped on the gray paper.  I simply used a circle punch once it was stamped.

The paper I used is Echo Park.  Did you know that MarkerPop now carries Echo Park paper?  It’s one of my favorites and there are a number of pre-orders right HERE.
