My Heart is Yours….

Written by Tina Galvan-Gilliland. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

HeartKey

Hi everyone!!  Today I am sharing one of my last Valentine cards I made for my darling daughter.  She is one who doesn’t like TOO girlie and she LOVE green!! So… I tried to tone it down a bit on her card this year. LOL.

My sweet “tone-downed” girl… hee hee… is the adorable “Heart Key Marci” from LaLa Land Crafts.  PERFECT “simple” dress for my daughter who suddenly also hates wearing dresses!  (Yes, she should have been a boy! LOL)  I used my Copic Sketch markers to color her and also kept my colors light and used her favorite, green, to make it somewhat to her liking.  I mean, if you HAVE to wear a dress, it might as well be in your favorite color, right? 😉

My favorite paper to color with my Copics, Cryogen White, was used to stamp my image on and to stamp my sentiment on.

My doily, flowers and bow were from my stash of odds and ends that I keep nearby.

I hope you are having a great Wednesday… half way through the week and for those of you who got Presidents’ Day off, that surely is a nice feeling! Trust me, my kids are loving that Wednesdays are also ALWAYS only a half day of school so they are thoroughly enjoying this “short” school week.

As always, we appreciate your stopping by and be sure to come back tomorrow for more inspiration and fabulous products from MarkerPOP!.

Here are the Copics I used:

Wishes

Written by Marlena Hoffman Peduzzi. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi everyone, Marlena here, I am so excited to be sharing with you my first post as part of the Marker Pop team!  For this first post I have a card using the Some Odd Girl image, Wishes.

SOG, Wishes

I’m fairly new to using Some Odd Girl images but now that I’ve used a few, I’m hooked!  Of course I used my copic markers to color this sweet fairy up.  The colors I used are:

HAIR, B26, B24, B21, C9, C7, DRESS – B37, B18, B14, B00, SKIN – E15, E11, YR02, E01, E000, WINGS – YR21, Y13, Y11, CB and EYES – B05, B02, B000

The rest of my project just kind of “threw” itself together around the image, I’m sure you know how that goes every now and again!  I’m so glad I was able to share with you today!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Valentines Day!

Tracy here with a Valentines project using heart shaped dies.

Magg1

So simple to do. Cut out 2 heart shapes using whatever die or die cutting machine you have. Then I took a strip of cardstock that was 3″ x 6″. I scored 1/2 on each side of the 3″ sides. Then I scored in the middle of the 6″ long side. I then cut a notch at that score mark so that I could fold it.  I adhered the strip to the hearts to form a box.  I then added a simple strip of cardstock for the handle.

Since these do not stand straight, I would use a cello bag filled with candy for the stuffing!

I have used Tilda with Cozy Heart from Magnolia. The paper is XOXO from American Crafts.

Thanks for looking today!

Love Is In The Air

Hello and welcome to our  Wedndesday MarkerPOP  post!    We are glad to have you visit.

Marie here and I want to share a  card I created with the adorable clear stamp from Wild Rose  Studio called Raining Roses.

I just love the way the little guy looks at his love!  Now that is LOVE!
I created a  5.5 in x 4.25 in. card for this image but it would work well for a scrapbook page
or a 3-D project.
When I had my Copic Inking Class in Anaheim we  colored on fabric.
This image would lend itself to a little fabric gift bag!  I must try that!

Supplies: Stamp: Raining Roses (Wild Rose Studio)

Ink:
Copic Alcohol Ink Markers – Sketch  (.too)
Copic Opaque Ink (.too)
Copic Wine Multiliner (.too)
Memento London Fog  Ink (Tsukeniko)

Paper:
Cryogen for focal image (Curious Metallic)
White Cardstock 120# for base
Layering: Bazzill cardstock
Designer Paper:  Whimsy Romance (Whimsy Stamps)

Techniques:

  • Copic Alcohol Ink markers
  • Texture with Stippling and Copic Alcohol Ink Blender.

Umbrella:  RV00, RV02, RV32,  Copic wine and pink 0.3  multiliner, E39, C3 (handle)
Rose and Rose Leaves in background: R20, R22, R24, R27, R58, G40, G24, YG17, G28

I used the hearts punched from the Nestabilities die for embellishment.
Memento London Fog was sponged on the corners of my fabulous Whimsy Romance Design Paper. .

Tip for the Day: Texture  can be added to your image to create interest and hold the viewer’s eye.   The sky is the limit on applying texture.  You can texturize fur, grass, clothing, bricks, or wood.  The list goes on and on!   Colorless blender from your marker or applied to fabric with texture will work really well. You can get some great designs!  Denim or lace are a couple examples.    I am a little addicted to it  and always alter my images a little to add  texture.     Give it a try.

That’s all for today and thank you for  stopping by.  I hope you had an opportunity to check out  and welcome our new Design Team members!   They are fabuous and I know you will be blown away with thier cards and projects.     And don’t forget our MarkerPop Challenge #16  is all about texture  and will run until Feb 17th.    I hope to see your entry there!
