From the Herd!!!

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Tutorials, Uncategorized, Videos

Hello everyone.. Holly here today with a super cute interactive slider card featuring the new Farm Friends set from My Favorite Things. Before we get to the card details and a new video I wanted to remind you there’s still time to join our Copic 30th Birthday Giveaway!! You can find all the details in this post here. The contest is open until April 4th.

I started by die cutting a piece of Kraft card stock using the Large Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Frame Die set. Then I used the inside piece of the frame to create my scene on. I used a piece of the MFT Watercolor Wash 6×6 Pad for the sky and a piece of the MFT Graphic Grid 6×6 paper for the grass. I used the Rolling Hills, & Grassy Hills dies from MFT to create the scene as well. For the slider area I used one of the Surf & Turf dies and a Spin & Slide disc from MFT as well.

I stamped all the images onto some X-Press it blending card stock using Lawn Fawn’s Jet Black ink and colored them in with Copics. I used the coordinating die-namics and cut them out with my Big Shot. Then I adhered all the images to the scene. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Neenah Solar White card stock. I adhered the image panel to a Kraft card base and added the Large Stitched Frame over it with some foam adhesive.

I used the following Copics: YG03, YG25, G07, Y11, Y13, Y15, C00, C1, C3, W00, W1, W3, W5, N4, N6, N8 , N10, YR04, R20, E000, E01, E02, E23, E25 & E27. 0 & Copics Sketch 0.3

Check out the video below for more details on how I created this card.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Reach for the Sky!

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Uncategorized

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! I hope you all had a wonderful week and are ready for the weekend!  It is Spring Break here and we are currently experiencing some beautiful weather. (Not trying to rub into those who are currently dealing with a big snow storm.)
Today I am working with Hampton Art Reach for the Sky stamps and ZIG Clean Color Markers:
I stamped the image onto some watercolor cardstock. Once the ink dried, I used a variety of ZIGs to color in the scene. Recently, I have been seeing a trend were the artist does not fully color in the image. There is white space that is left in a tiny part of the image. I decided to give this technique a try with this card. I have fallen in love with and look forward to using it on future projects. The sentiment is stamped in the bottom corner.
The following ZIG Clean Color Markers were used on this project: 021, 036, 064, 065, and 081
Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a great day!
Jessi

Translation: Happy Easter!

Written by Valerie Ward. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi MarkerPop Peeps! It’s Valerie here today, and with Easter quickly approaching, I’m mixing old and new (well, “newER” anyway) Lawn Fawn products today for a sweet and fun Easter card!

The adorable chicks and all their sweet accessories com from Lawn Fawn’s Chirpy Chirp Chirp set that was released in February of 2016 (seems like just yesterday!). I stamped them with Lawn Fawndamentals Black Licorice ink onto X-Press Ink paper, and colored them with my Copic Sketch markers.

All the adorable die cut pieces are all Lawn Fawn Cut Sets.  Here are the sets I used and for which pieces:

All of the solid colors are actually white paper colored with Lawn Fawndamentals inks and a couple Distress inks; you can see all the specific ones I used in the Supply List below.

Thank you for stopping by, and have a GREAT day!

Copics On Solid Stamped Images

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi!  It’s Lisa here with you today and I have a fun technique to share with you today that can take your stamping to the next level.  Now, before I begin I want to state that if you don’t want to color your solid stamped images in, that is totally fine I don’t always do it or even think to do it on mine.  But, as a refresher or if you are looking for one more way to add depth and detail to those solid images using your Copic® Markers…

As you can see I’ve labeled the right side as no Copic® Markers used, and the left side as the Copics® used side.  Isn’t it cool to see the difference when they are lined up side by side?  Any who, these images are from the newly released Fab Flowers by Lawn Fawn.  They are super cute as is, and even thought they have a second “layer” that I have stamped on each image, you can still create more depth by shading the images in with Copics®.  Now keep in mind that these images were stamped in Copic® friendly ink, because we definitely do not want to cause damage to our precious markers, so make sure you are aware of what ink you’ve stamped your images in first.  I have used Memento Dye Inks: Rose Bud, Love Letter, Pear Tart, Cottage Ivy, Lulu Lavender, Elderberry, London Fog.  Copic® Markers used include: R24, R29, RV14, RV23, RV25, YG13, G14, V000, V12, V15, W3, W5.  Tips for this technique: Start by using your darkest marker choice first, this way if you go a little too heavy you can lightly up your coloring by going over it with a lighter marker.  Also, don’t be afraid to experiment and maybe even try coloring with a different, but complimentary color to the color you’ve already stamped your image in.

Since I had already colored the images up, I had to create a project with them…

I started by fussy cutting my stamped and colored images, and then created my frame with Lawn Fawn’s Stax Large Stitched 4 Bar Rectangle Dies and Lawn Fawn Patterned Paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would love to see what you create using this technique!  Also, Don’t forget to get your name entered in the amazing giveaway going on here right now!

Happy Crafting!
