Note Card Pizza Box

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Anything But a Card, Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi, everyone!  It’s Kelli here today with a note card box to share with you.  For all the stamping I used the new Lawn Fawn – Critters on the Savanna stamp set.  I stamped everything in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics:
C9, C7, C5, C3, C2, C1, C0
E29, E27, E25
Y26, Y23, Y21
Bg09, BG07, BG05, BG02
G28, G07, G05, G03
B000

I kind of cheated for today’s project because Saturday is ‘Anything but a Card’ day, and I sort of included cards with my post, lol!  I needed something to go into the card box though!  🙂

Here is a photo of the completed box.  I used some Plush Blush Baker’s Twine and added a button to keep the box closed.  Don’t forget to stamp and color on the box before you assemble it!

To open the box you just slip off the twine and it opens like a pizza box.  The size of the box is 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ x 3/4″ and it fit four 3″ note cards (with dimension) perfectly.  If you didn’t want the colored portion from the front of the box showing through like you can see here, you can easily just color it on a separate sheet of paper an cut it out.  Since I colored directly on the box I will probably go back and add a sheet of card stock to the inside to cover it up.

Here’s all the note cards together.  I wanted to use all of the sentiments and main animals included in the set and also add one of the birds to each for an added pop of color.  Also… I realized after I was all done that the colors on my lion are backwards.  Oops!  He’s just special.  🙂
What I was most excited to use, along with the stamps, are the new matching Lawn Cuts Dies for Critters on the Savanna!  That’s my new favorite obsession, DIES!!!  I cut out my images a lot and to have matching dies saves me a lot of time.  Not to mention that it also looks better too!

Something that is cool about long clear sentiment stamps is that you can curve them!  That’s what I did with the sentiment above the lion.

I really love animal sets as you can tell and Lawn Fawn has lots of them!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂

Happy Birthday

Written by Tracy Valure. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Good morning! Tracy here today. So glad that friday has rolled around. I will be heading to Tampa to see Kenny Chesney! Can. Not. Wait!  But first, I want to share with you a Stamping Bella card I created. My goal for this year is to make more Birthday cards. That’s is what I tend to use the most of and I am always searching for them!

bella4

The stamp that was used is Ava Loves to Celebrate from the Stamping Bella Uptown Girls Collection.  The Biance Loves Her Big Cake stamp would also work perfectly for a birthday card.  I love the whimsical cuteness that the Uptown Girls have!! I used an MFT scallopped border die and tab die for the sentiment. The paper is once again my favorite Tangerine collection from My Minds Eye.  I colored it all up with my Copic Markers.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Thinking of You

Written by Annie Brown. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello, crafty friends! My name is Anne Brown… or Annie, as my friends call me…. or as I’m better known, Anniebee of Anniebee’s Craft Room, in Blogland. I can’t tell you how honored I am to have been asked to be a guest designer for Marker Pop during the month of March! Marker Pop happens to be my favorite source for Copics and other paper crafting supplies so this is a very special occasion for me. I live in Texas, about 26 miles north of Houston. I am mother to one grown son, who blessed me with 2 beautiful grandchildren. I have been crafting since I could hold a crayon but have only been a serious paper crafter for about 5 years. I am a self-taught Copic colorist. Aside from coloring beautiful images to go on my cards and other projects, I have done a few portraits in Copics as well. I can spend hours watching videos on You Tube of people coloring with alcohol ink markers. Coloring has become such a passion for me that I no longer have time  for the other crafts I used to do.

Today, I’d like to share with you a card I made using one of the recently released Magnolia stamps called Tilda with Little Pocket and some pretty papers I had ordered from Marker Pop just before Kelli invited me to design a couple of projects for the blog. So without further delay, here’s my first project.
