A Little Christmas Creation with Bling!

Written by Melisssa Forquer. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi ya everyone, Melissa here today to share a very simple Christmas card I created using some fabulous products from MarkerPop.

I love mixing and matching my stamp sets.  The tree is from the clear Lawn Fawn set called Critter’s in the Forest.  There are a ton of adorable images with this set, but I thought for a simple Christmas card the tree would work perfectly.  I also chose the sentiment from the new Some Odd Girl clear stamp set called Angel Gwyn.

I used my Copic markers and the gorgeous paper pad from Simple Stories called Harvest Lane.

I used simple brush strokes to color the tree so it would look textured.  Adding darker colors to the underside of the tree divisions.  I then added a number of adorable crystals from Prima Say it in Crystals sets.  I added a large yellow one to top the Christmas tree.

I hope you enjoyed today’s simple Christmas card.  Don’t forget to join our fun challenge: Oldies but Goodies!

Melt My Heart – Winter Wear

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi, everyone!  It’s Kelli here today and I have a card to share with you that uses a stamp from Miss Anya Scarves by The Greeting Farm!  I am in love with this stamp set!  I stamped her in Memento – Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her with Copics:

hair:  E19, E17, E15, E13
skin:  E21, E01, E00
scarf:  BG13, BG11, RV95, RV93, RV91
hat:  BG13, BG11, RV95, RV93, RV91, E55, E53, E51
sweater: RV14, C1, N0, 0
jeans:  B39, B37, B24
boots and mittens:  E55, E53, E51

All the patterned paper I used is from the awesome October Afternoon – Woodland Park 8×8 paper pad.  I used part of one of the sentiments from the Some Odd Girl – Winter Friends stamp set.  I left off the heart portion and punched my own and covered it with Glossy Accents.  To finish it off I added a Rosarian – Prima Wood Button and a Green Envy – Baker’s Twine bow.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂

Happy Birthday

Hello, Tracy here today filling in for Samantha! She helped me out about a week ago and she had some computer issues this week so I am filling in for her. I’m on a Some Odd Girl kick lately and I shared one a couple of days ago and I have another one for you today.

Today is “Tuesday Tips and Tricks” however, this was short notice so I don’t have much in terms of tips or tricks for you but I will share what I use frequently to do my shading — Copic W’s!!  I love them. The W’s go very well with reds, blues and even oranges. I find myself pulling them out all the time.  On this one I used alot of W2 and W4 in the dress to shade it.

For my my card I used Gwen in Bloom from Some Odd Girl.  The designer paper is new and called Harvest Lane from Simple Stories.  Gwen in Bloom is colored with Copic Markers.  The colors I used are as follows:

Skin:  E000, E00, E11, R20
Hair: E51, E53, E33, E37
Dress: YG61, YG65, YG68, W2, W4
Browns: E42, E43, E44, E47
Flower: Y11, Y15, E33

Thank you for looking today!

Party like a Rockstar!

Written by Tracy Valure. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello! Tracy here today. Gosh it seems like so long since I have posted! I had weather problems then I was away on vacation.  That little hurricane that came through South Florida decided to dump loads of rain on us. Schools were in session and the kids ended up stuck at school, I was stuck at work. It was craziness all over. Needless to say I was without power for a day and internet for 3 days. Then we went away on vacation, kidless! It was a great, we stayed in a beach house in North Carolina. People find it funny we would leave Florida to head to a beach house in NC…but thats just what we did. It was fabulous!

Ok enough about me…let’s get onto this weeks card. It’s Friday, and I have some yummy eye candy for you using Dancin’ Mae by Some Odd Girl.

Dancin’ Mae

For this card I used Copic Markers to color her up. (Colors are below). That perfect sentiment is from S&P Company-  Bold Sentiments III – Birthday.  The paper is Ambrosia by Bo Bunny. The button is from the Hello Sunshine Collection by Bo Bunny and the twine is Purple Plum Divine Twine.

Copic colors:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20, R02
Outfit:  YG11, YG13, YG17, V01, V12, V15
Hair: E40, E42, E43, E44, E47
Shoes: C00, C1,C3
Background:  B000, B0000, W2, W4

Don’t you just love the Some Odd Girl images?  Don’t forget there is a large Pre-Order of the new release in the store. Hopefully you joined us last week for the fabulous Blog Hop we had. Wow, talk about some amazing cards!  If you hadn’t looked yet, do go check them out.

That’s all for today. Thanks for looking!!
