Happy Day – Hanging Polaroid

Written by Kelli Cortes. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi, everyone!  Kelli here today with a birthday card to share with you.  I used the Tiddly Inks – Happy Day stamp set for all the stamping.  That’s what I love about this set, it comes with everything you need!  I stamped the main image in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics:
Skin: E21, E01, E00, E000
Hair: E29, E27, E25, E23
Bow and Dress: C7, C6, C4, C3, C2
Gifts: V09, V17, V15, V12
Y35, Y15, Y13, Y11
YR18, YR16, YR15, YR14
G28, G24, G21
R24, R22, R20
Background: B00, B000, B0000

I used the My Favorite Things – Insert It Instaframe die and die cut some patterned paper from the American Crafts – Amy Tangerine Yes Please 6×6 paper pad.  The splatters on the card base are from the Mister Huey’s Misting Spray in Heirloom Blue.  I took the sprayer out and tapped the end that was in the mist over the card base.  I really like how you can spray the mist the usual way or you can get much bigger splatters this way.

I wanted to make it look like the polaroid frame was hanging from the card so I used a piece of yellow Washi Tape at the top.  To finish everything off I rounded the corners of the card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  🙂

A Dream & A Sparkle….

Written by Tina Galvan-Gilliland. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

PTOz

Today I was feeling very “dreamy”.  NOT that I am dreamy… LOL  But… I felt like I was in a dreamland all day.  It seems all I wanted to do was 1) internet shop (can’t afford ALL I want, of course. LOL)… 2) take a nap… 3) magically wish my house was clean! LOL  Yah… dreamland!! LMBO So, in lieu of that I decided I would just make a “dreamy” card.

I used Sherri Baldy My Besties, “Sparkles” image and colored her with my Copic Sketch Markers and a Touch Twin Brush marker after stamping her with Memento Tuxedo Black on White Cryogen paper.   I cut it out and mounted it with Pop Dots on top of some mirrored paper I have from Paper Temptress.

A few crystal rhinestones, a bundle of flowers and a little bling added to the dress and headpiece and I’m ready to keep on dreaming!! Ha!  How about you, what kind of dream card would you make??

Be sure to check out all the new Sherri Baldy My Besties images.  You’ll love them and honestly, they all have my heart!!!  Can you see more dream shopping going on here?  Hee

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  *HUGS*

A big bunch of flowers

Written by Amanda Reed. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Good Morning everyone! Amanda here with my final post as a guest designer for Marker Pop and I want to thank them for having me, they are a great company to work with and purchase goodies from. Todays card features a cute image called Bunny with Flowers by Wild Rose studio. I’m not very comfortable coloring fur but was pretty happy with this little guy although it is difficult to see his eyes haha!

The paper is Cherish by Authentique and it is full of lovely soft vintage colors. I used dark green cardstock as an accent and my image is colored with copics and I have added a little bit of sparkle to the center of the flowers with a yellow atyou spica glitter pen.  Okay, thanks for checking out my card today and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Fur    E50, E51, E55, E57 and E49

Daisies   B01 and BG02

Pink flowers and bouquet wrapping is R81, R83, R85 and R89

I ruff you!

Hi, everyone!  Kelli here with a love card to share with you.  I used the brand new Lawn Fawn – Critters at the Dog Park stamp set and the Lucky Stars stamp set.  The dogs were stamped in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics:
C9, C7, C6, C5, C4, C3, C2
E29, E27, E25, E23
R24, R22, R20

I heat embossed the stars from the Lucky Stars set in clear embossing powder and then made a curved mask and masked off where I wanted the grass.  I used the Ranger – Broken China Distress Ink and foam applicator for the sky and the Peeled Paint Distress Ink for the grass.  I added a tiny bit of Black Soot around all the edges to help deepen them.  I used the grass from the Critters at the Dog Park set to stamp along the top of the grass line.

To cut the dogs out I used the Lawn Fawn – Critters at the Dog Park dies.  I seriously love dies.  I think I’ve said this before but they are my new favorite crafty item!  I used the Lawn Fawn – Heart dies for the two layered hearts.  There’s a tiny bow in the Dog Park set so I colored it and cut it out and added it to the girl dog’s head.  I used my Memento – Tuxedo Black marker to add little whisker dots to both of their faces.  The sentiment is from the same dog set.  I cut one end into a banner shape and added an October Afternoon – Cakewalk button in red with some twine to the other side.  To finish everything off I added some Glossy Accents to the smaller heart and some gel pen stitch lines around the red layer.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!
