Make A Wish

Written by Tracy Valure. Posted in Anything But a Card, Eye Candy (Projects)

Good morning. Tracy here on this wonderful Saturday morning, which also happens to be my favorite day of the week.

Today I created a simple card using the Cupcake set from the new Avery Elle line of Stamps and Dies.  If you haven’t had a chance to check them out in the store, you should!  It makes creating so much easier. No cutting…just stamp and roll it through your die cut machine.  Easy Peasy.    They also have the cutest French Macaron set, I can just envision some pastel macarons on a card. Yummy!

So remember I said my Tag was SIMPLE…well this was virtually NO coloring to this. The ONLY coloring I kind of did was add some Copic C1 and C00 to the frosting. Other than that it was all a matter of stamping out the Cupcake stamps, picking out the coordinating Cupcake Dies and rolling it through my die cut machine.

The sentiment was part of the set and added some Faux zigzag stitching to it.  The paper is Hootenany by My Minds Eye.

Thanks for stopping by!

It’s Michelle here today sharing a baby card with you!  I’d been wishing for a fun new baby image that would coordinate with the fun Welcome Little One set I’d picked up earlier.

I’m in love with the new Sherry Baldi images…and when I saw Moonlight Matilda I knew I had found my girl…now just to find my boy! *wink!*

I will amend this post in a bit with the Copic Markers I used.

Bella – Saturated Canary

Written by Marie Gamber. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Greetings and “Happy Wednesday” to all our crafty friends!   Marie here with a card to share with you.

I confess – I too am on a Saturated Canary kick.  I just can’t get enough of these gorgeous images.    I particularly love the eyes and hair on all the images.      If you enjoy coloring hair – this is the image for you!

I used this little cutie  called Bella – a Saturated Canary Rubber Stamp.

The image was stamped on Cryogen (Curious Metallic)  paper with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (Tsukineko)

I used Copic Sketch  alcohol ink markers (.too)  to color my image.

Skin Tones: E11, E00, E000
Hair:  E97, YR14, Y17
Dress/Socks and Skate ties/Phone/Hearat and Hair Baubbles: RV02, RV00, RV0000, pink Copic multiliner.
Skates:  C0, C1, C3, C5
Stones:  I sketched some stones with a 0.03 Multiliner and colored them with W5, W3, W1, W00
Background:  I created a muted marbelized background using Booo, B00, C0, RV00 and Colorless blender.  Pink Multiliner

The card was embellished with Prima flowers, pink pearls and lavendar flower.

That’s all I have for today.   Stop back tomorrow and see what our fabulous Kelli has in store for you!

It’s All in Supporting their Dreams….

MPEmbook

Hi everyone!!! Tina here with a small but meaningful gift idea.  My daughter always tells me she wants to be an artist… “Like you are, mom.” .  Awwwww  well, that just tugs at my heart.  First… I NEVER consider myself an artist… second, I hope she does just that… becomes an artist, if she really wants to be.  So, today I am sharing with you a small but heartfelt gift I gave to her.  This little book I gave her was designed with the thought to give her a fun and cheery place to put her drawings.  She LOVES to draw and I must admit, she does it pretty darn good for  an 11 year old!

I used the AWESOME dies from Avery Elle-ments, “Oh Yeah” set.  I LOVE LOVE these dies!!!  The large green checked word bubble is perfect for this small book and/or even the front of a card.  AND… if I get lucky, it might work in my Project Life book as well… I will have to check that out!  The arrow is also part of this same die set.  I ALWAYS need an arrow and this one is perfect.

The sentiments are also from Avery Elle Clear Stamps – “Lots of Love”.  The sentiments are wonderful for Valentines, yes, but also workable for any occasion where you want to share a little love.  I just really like the sayings in this set!

Here’s a close up so you can see the die cuts easier.  (I used lots of patterns so sometimes I know they are hard to see.)  And also read the sentiment a bit better. The paper pack I used was from the Teresa Collins, “She Said” craft pack.

Oh and one more thing… I was TOTALLY impressed with how easily these dies popped out the paper.  No pushing or fussing.  I simply turned them over and they fell out!  And when I went to emboss them… I set them in the die with ease… no fussing to get them in just right.. they fit in wonderfully.  I hope she comes out with even more… totally amazed by them.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend!!! *HUGS*
